Always a blissful and soothing place to visit. I have visited here many a times and always came back with happiness! The temple looks beautiful from inside and outside. Maintenance is good. You can visit to offer Pooja here. The priests here are cooperative. You can go for Pooja of a new vehicle, both 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers. For 2 wheelers, they charge around 500 odd rupees and for 4 wheelers, it's 1000 odd. Remember, they give you a receipt and you can claim for tax deduction if you wish to. You can also coordinate with the priests and arrange for personalized Pooja offerings on your special occasions. Prasad offered here is awesome. If you have ever visited Puri Jagannath temple, you would know what is Abhada prasada. You can get the same here during lunch time with nominal charges. You have to call the temple authority one day before in the evening and order. Next day, you can visit and have the prasada either at the temple or take it away. Remember to bring your own containers for the latter case. Prasada charges will be around 150 rupees to 200. On weekdays, no of items will be less compared to weekend because it's less crowded on weekdays. The temple is located near to sea beach so you can also visit the beach if you want. The nearby beach is less crowded and not suggested to stay after sunset. They also carry out the famous chariot festival and you can visit on that day for a awesome experience. Every Odia person staying in Chennai must visit here at least once!!

Jagannath Shrine in Chennai is a truly captivating place that transports you to the rich spiritual atmosphere of Puri. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by the vibrant colors of the deities and the intricate decorations that create a divine ambiance. The shrine is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, along with his siblings, Balabhadra and Subhadra, and the architecture beautifully reflects traditional Odisha style, making it a visual delight. The peaceful environment was perfect for reflection and prayer, and I was struck by the sense of devotion among the visitors. The rituals performed here are heartfelt, and witnessing the daily aartis adds to the sanctity of the experience. The temple staff are welcoming and eager to share insights about the traditions and significance of the deities, which enhanced my visit. One of the highlights was the prasadam; I tried the special offerings that were both delicious and made with love. The shrine also organizes festivals that draw large crowds, creating a sense of community and celebration. Overall, Jagannath Shrine is a hidden gem in Chennai that offers a peaceful retreat and a deep connection to spirituality. I left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the experience.

A Hidden gem of Chennai 💜🫶 And i feel that's one of the reasons for this temples beauty. It's kind of like a replica of Puri jaganatha temple built in Kalinga architecture and it's so peaceful and serene place. The garba gudi ceilings have paintings depicting stories of the deity and the ground floor is dedicated to lord Hanuman again the ceiling is beautifully painted with tales about the deity. The temple is full of greenery with the blackish ash gopuram and a vibrant Greenery spread around it. I loved walking in the grass well it's allowed no issues😅 Finding this temple is a bit (just a bit) difficult you need to get an auto from shollinganallur they will take 30rs and will drop u at highway you need to walk inside for like 15-20mins we asked for directions from the locals there. It's located at a corner quite isolated I must say you can't even say that there is a temple there until u walk closer to it but it's all worthy the walk you instantly feel u r so close to the nature. I just sat between the trees for like 20 mins i have spent around an 1 and half hours in the temple itself. You can meditate near the budda idol and it's a perfect place to forget yourself and get lost in nature.☘️🌿🍂🛕🪔🫶

"TYPICAL JAGANNATH TEMPLE" ~® This place is completely loved by north Indians. Typical jagannath temple. Good architecture, well maintained, neat and clean. It will be very peaceful. Must visit to see the very good architecture. Somewhat crowded in the entrance of the street, since it is located interior and near to beach. Fish smell will be there while entering into the street, since you have to pass through in that way. Washrooms are available. No foodies near the temple, you have to come to main road. No separate parking. Parking will be road side but pleanty of space will be available Pro's: 1. Good architecture 2. Neat and clean 3. Washrooms are available 4. Parking will be road side but pleanty of space will be available Con's: 1. The road path is smelly 2. No separate parking 3. No food shops near to temple Overall: "Must visit to see the architecture of Oriya"

I visited the Jagannath Shrine Temple right after exploring the ISKCON temple in the Arkai ( excuse me if I’m writing it wrong) region. It's just a 10-minute journey from ISKCON to the Jagannath Shrine Temple. Although the temple was closed upon my arrival, there were many people eagerly waiting for it to open at 4 (if I recall correctly). The temple is incredibly beautiful, featuring mini temples within its premises. The atmosphere is serene, providing a peaceful setting for meditation. I could sit there for hours without realizing the passing time. The temple is situated in a quiet area with few people on the streets, but I’d like to believe it’s a safe locality. If you have some time on your hands, I recommend paying a visit. (Make sure to take help from the locals since its not easy to find this place, took me 15 mins to find the temple)
