Located on the main road a stone's throw from Uttrakhand CM residence ; it reminds all passers by of the bravery of our armed forces and inspires the youth to serve Bharat Mata.
Shaurya Sthal was earlier called Chid Van ( Pine tree forest ). Now it has a well maintained area replete with a massive photograph of the signing of the surrender of Pakistan army in 1971. There is also a huge 3D brass sketch of the same photo facing the main gate.
There are two Vijanta Tanks parked on both sides of the entry gate which awakens the child in all visitors.
Upon entering we see an actual Mig 21 parked on the right. On the left we see an 18 feet model of a missile boat that destroyed the Karachi harbour during the 1971 war that catches the attention of visitors.
The front area has a statue to honour the unknown unsung soldier. There are names of soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in serving our motherland.
