NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE

Hi Management, This was my 7th visit to social because i believe you guys have one of the best team in terms of professionalism but but today what we have experienced this was very unprofessional and unexpected, I have been part of hospitality industry almost a decade and i usually don't write reviews about service and food because I know how hospitality industry is. But the security and bouncer you guys have this need a immediate attention and training. As I have mentioned this was my 7th visit in past 7 months and everytime I came to social with my international delicates or my family or friends. This time I have visited with my younger brother ( Jr. Sous chef of Le royal Meridien abu dhabi) and my cousin who is food and beverage faculty in one of the best hotel management college in dehradun. What happened - So there was no one on the dance floor so we decided to dance because you will understand if you are from hospitality how difficult it is to get together and make memories with your loved once. We were dancing for almost 45 min no one said anything just after that some group of male and female came to the dance floor still my brothers were not dancing I was the one only dancing NOTE in the corner of the dance floor and we were enjoying ourselves. And suddenly the bouncer came and he says you can't sing song while dancing and this was very shocking to see something like this happening. And when I asked why I can't sing he informed me that stag entry is not allowed so what you guys give entry in first place ? On the weekend we pay 2k per head for the stag entry that time it's allowed?

The another security came and asked to go with her to see the manager but why the guest will go to manager?

Because when the bouncer came to stop me on the dance floor I asked him to go aside. I should have confronted him in front of the entire guest. This very small thing social should teach there team members, how and where to deal so that other guest should not get effected. But they don't even know the basis and it's very said to see and experience.

Very important as the loyal guest of social. We were not abusive. We were not making any seen. We were not drunk. We were not shouting. We were not disbalanced while dancing. We were not making anyone uncomfortable. We were not seeing anyone which should make anyone uncomfortable. We have not even touched anyone even accidentally. We have not behaved unprofessionally to anyone. We were just there to have some good time with my brothers and make good memories and because I love social Even after having so many different options available. My only mistake as per the management of social I was dancing while singing not on the in front of the DJ. And i trusted the social team for this special evening I have chosen this place. And you people ruined everything.

Guest service at Social. I would have never mentioned and till never did but I think i should.

We called one of your associate or maybe supervisor for the order. And it's very interesting guys if you don't know how to order from the app what happens usually they'll teach you in a very professional and polite manner but the social team will ask you sir pahli baar aaye ho kya ? When the drinks arrived the glasses were dirty. And very interesting usually when you go to bar or order any alcoholic beverage apart from wine, specially with hard drinks or beer you will not get anything munching you have to wait until your appetizer comes because even for some peanuts you have to asked and the way it will be served like you are have done somekind of crime asking that. Pizza , we have received pizza on the table while sitting outside 17 degree temperature i was amazed and my brothers whom I have said that the management is very professional and well trained they were making fun of me by saying 1 side plate milta to ham pizza kha pate . After asking for the plates now we have to again ask for side condiments like oregano and chilli flakes.

Went to Social on 10 03 2023. This is on the 5th Floor of Centrio Mall in Dehradun.

We ordered a Veg Thali and a Non Veg Thali. First about the table - it has a small tin bucket which holds the cutlery. This reminds one of the 1950s and 60s where such buckets were used for cleaning the toilet. Somebody who designed this place appears to have a sick sense of humor. The toilet effect does not end here. Instead of tissues/Paper Napkins in a proper holder, a toilet paper roll type of tissue dispenser is mounted on the metal bucket like cutlery holder. Instead of a proper menu, there aremenus printed on ragged dirty paper which are rolled up and kept in the cutlery holder/toilet paper contraption.

We were told there would be 2 tandoori rotis in the thali. We were shocked to see one small sized maida roti cut into 4 quarters and palmed off as 2 rotis. This was the case with both the thalis.

In the non-veg thali, there was butter chicken with fat lumps of chicken. There was no finesse in the way it was made. In Punjabi, you might say it was "dangaron ka khana".

In the veg thali, there was paneer tikka and a paneer preparation as vegetable. It appears that no thought went into planning the thalis - it smacks of laziness and lack of innovation when you throw blobs of paneer, one into tandoor and another into a non descript gravy and you are done.

We have been to Marriott, Hyatt, Taj, Hilton as well as Chillis, Big Chill, Kylin, Mamagato, Mainland China and other fine dining experiences around the world. To say Social was a disappointment would be the understatement of the year.

The staff was snobbish and thought highly of themselves. One redeeming feature was that their toilets were clean.

The bill is presented in a box labelled damage. If the restaurant had done due diligence, they would know that the correct word is "damages".

There are two types of eating places - one which serve good food and the other where food is indifferent and tasteless but designed to get in the young crowd who want to be seen at a particular place.

Social belongs to the second category.
