Right in the heart of Mogappair in one of its bylanes in a quiet residential  area is our Lord Perumal as Sri Santana Srinivasa. The temple is situated in a not so wide lanes but finding a car parking spot is manageable on a normal day. On festivals and auspicious days it might be hard to drive through to the temple and find a car parking spot near by. Would advise, park your car on the nearest wide road and walk to the temple. The main deity is our Lord Perumal, one would need to go around the temple workahipping other deities before taking the ramp to see our Lord Perumal. The temple has an ancient sculpture of sorts but when enquired came to know that it was built around year 2000. So it is relatively a modern temple and not ancient. It was Puratasi Sunday wasnt that crowded and had hired an autorikshaw to be in the temple. Flower shops line either sides of the temple and place to leave the footwear. Didnt find a toilet though. The Temple Gopura is being renovated. The main hall of the temple leading to main deity Lord Santana Srinivasa Perumal is ramped and one can see Tirupathi like Perumal inside the Santum Santorum. The santum is well lit. Other deities include Thayar Lakshmi (Goddess of wealth), Lord Hanuman and Sri Andal kadavul. Tamarind rice prasadam was served during the Sunday evening during our visit.

This is a well maintained temple in a residential area with narrow approach roads. However the main roads from industrial estate are broader and well connected from the neighborhoods. Though known as Santhana Srinivasa Perumal temple, there are sannidhis for Vinayaka, Ayyappan & Navagrahas. The main deity is of gigantic size like that of Tirupathi with artha Mantapa. Santhana Lakshmi thayar & Anjaneya have separe sannidhis in inner prakarams blessing devotees abundantly. This temple has only recent history having been established in 20th century. The temple atmosphere is clean, serene and suitable for archanas/prayers for begetting children.

Peaceful place on normal days.. Chaos on special occasions because temple will be over crowded even with these corona also... Special que will be formed with 100rs ticket.. So avoid special days and prefer non peak timing.. Better come in two wheeler instead of car.. No park is there for temple.. Hit like if my review helpful

To reach the temple from Kovalam you need to take share auto(15rs) for 1 person. They will directly stop you in path of the temple road. Procedure you have to follow before entering the temple for delay in marriages. Every shop people know very well about the rituals so tell them you need to do pooja for the nagar. You will find a pond there. You can get pooja materials from the shop also get puffed rice from the shop there for the fishes in the pond. Feeding the fishes is one of the beautiful moments at the temple. Be careful while you're doing this as the pond floor is slippery. After feeding the fishes spray pond water in your head and wash your hands and face. Now go to the Nagar vigraha offer the pooja materials, tie mangal sutra to vigraha and pray for your issues. Now go to the same shop and buy a flower garland. Wear the garland on you and go to the Hanuman temple on the way pray to hanuman by lighting jodi agal vilakku and breaking đŸ„„ coconut. Go around the temple for three times. Now without removing the garland go to main temple where Varaghar has lakshmi on the left side of his shoulder. (Garland should be removed only when you come out of the temple ). First go see Ganesh. Next start with lakshmi don't forgot to see the kalyana kumbam on top. During the COVID situation people were not allowed to wear garland and go inside the temple. After worshipping all the deities when you come out of the temple feed banana for the cows. Remove the garland and hang in a airy space at home after 3 days or 3 months once your Marriage is confirmed come to the temple with you partner and leave the withered garland to the pond. Visit the main diety with garland and...

Sri Santhana Srinivasa Perumal Temple is located at Mogappair, literally means blessed with a child, in Chennai. This name symbolizes the belief that the Lord of Sri Santhana Srinivasa Perumal shrine provides the childless couples the most wanted blessing of little babies. Due to this belief childless couples throng to this holy place and offer their prayers, and it is said that their wishes have come true after the visit of this shrine. The Santhana Srinivasa Perumal Temple has been conducting many major religious festivals, one to note is Brahmotsavam. With the Brahmotsavam in full swing, the Must See abode of Perumal wears a celebrity look with people thronging its boundaries, waiting to get a glimpse of the Lord and His Consort, decorated with precious jewels and full of colorful flowers, as they move out in the surroundings on a variety of vahanams to bless devotees. Mogappair was once Maga-p-peru (meaning “blessed with a son”). This name derived from the belief that the deity in the Santhana Srinivasa Perumal Koil there granted the blessing of parenthood to childless couples. After persistent mispronunciation, the name `evolved’ to its present form
