Aquaboom Waterpark — Attraction in Balikpapan

Not a great waterpark, the staff were very lazy (only 1 was actively working and running around). My friend and I were said to be 20 years old although we were 12, we didn't mind but someone might think it's offensive in some way. Everything is confusing, the normal cabanas are awful (plastic mats) and the VIP cabanas are not any better they're just infront of the pool. Only 2 slides were open / available to the public. The others were either being renovated or the staff didn't bother to turn on the water, so the public couldn't access it. The food counters were very confusing, and here is a tip when ordering food, MAKE 👏 YOUR👏 ORDER👏 CLEAR!! My friend order egg rolls, and the girl at the counter said how much (we thought she was saying how many trays because there were 2 of us so my friend said 1 TRAY) and when we got our food she only had 1 egg roll! And we waited atleast 30 minutes for 1 egg roll! They had no toilet paper or paper to dry our hands with. The slides that were available were awful, we kept hitting our heads on the bottom of the slides and there weren't enough water on the slides so we often got slight burns on our skins. It’s not a very good water park at all. First of all when me and my friend went there we asked for a cabana, once we got our cabana there were only plastic mattresses to lay on, quite a rip off for the amount of money we payed. Moving onto the rides, there were only 2 open for the public. The other slides were either being renovated or weren’t open for the public due to the fact that staff didn’t bother to turn the water on. Staff are very ignorant too, whenever we would ask for service they would just walk right past us without a second thought, also the staff thought me and my friend were 20 years old (although we were 12) and didn’t allow us to go to the kiddy section just to have a bit of fun. Pathetic. I would not recommend coming here to waste your time and money...

This is an amazing place to spend time with family or friends. We went there because of a buy 1 get 1 free ticket offer, which was a great deal. The main attractions start at 3 o'clock, and there are exciting water slides and pools for both kids and adults. We rented a gazebo for 70k near the children's pool, but there's also an option for 140k near the adult pool. The staff were friendly, and the park was clean and well-maintained.
