Maha Vihara Maitreya — Attraction in City of Medan

one of the temples that can take special attention especially in the city of Medan that is MAHA VIHARA MAITREYA, or prefer to call it Vihara Cemara Asri because of its location in the pine Asri, Medan. As the name implies, the sound is very beautiful, neatly arranged, lots of trees, fastest some places to eat if the night, and around it clean. And around the Cemara Asri Vihara there is a swamp containing hundreds of Storks that live and surrounded by trees ... Is very different because the monastery is very majestic and if we are here as we are abroad because of the artistic buildings that are full of culture and characteristics of Buddhism... Great statues and Dragon carvings in the building buffer, the building is similar in China. In this monastery is very calm and if walking inside there are 3 Holy Statue that is the Holy Statue of Buddha, Dwi Kwan In and Statue of Judge Bao. In front of the monastery there is an area for prayer and on its left there is a nuanced garden like in Beijing China and is full of beautiful koi fish ponds and attractive bridges, and the statue of Kwan In that is white. When we stepped into this Maitreya Buddha Hall, it was as if we had entered a magnificent palace. The huge spacious hall and Buddha statues left us in awe and amazement, and it can be said to be one of the largest Buddhist temple in Asia. This Maitreya Buddhist Temple was built in Medan Indonesia by a Buddhist sect from Taiwan which founded decades ago in Taiwan that grow into a powerful worldwide Buddhist sect shortly. The whole complex consist of main hall at ground floor mainly for disciples's use in worship & praying activity, adjacent to a big vegetarian restaurant. The majestic and beautiful Buddhist temple is also regarded by the locals as an entertainment and photo spot for leisure walks. This temple is definitely a worthwhile experience for anyone who has not been here before....

A very nice place to visit. It has religious knowledge alongside tourists attraction and even school for children. Had very good time here. Got lots of knowledge about the place and history. This place has cafe and food shop with pure vegan dishes. I loved the food here. The people here are very friendly and helpful. Met very nice and decent staff.
