Sushi Mentai — Restaurant in Sumatra

Went for lunch and to see what's the hype all about. Picked a few plates from the conveyor belt sushi and two rice bowls.

The interior is pretty well designed. Air conditioned and clean. Staff also sanitized our table for us. I really appreciate that. Good call👍🏻

Price for the sushi is.. eh. It's not particularly expensive but there's nothing special from them. The sushi i liked was the triangle shaped one, covered in seaweed bits with tuna fillings. The sushi i disliked was the one with tofu skin wrapped around rice. That was plain horrible. The tofu skin was sweet and there you have plain rice with nothing. No fish, no sauce. I'd recommend not to pick that one if you're reading this ;;))

As for the rice bowls, got the salmon and eel ones. Salmon was around 40k , eel 80k. The salmon one was not worth it, and so is the eel. DOUBLE the price of the salmon and they're both just plain bland. The sauce is sweet , the meat is sweet, it's all just sweet and overpowering the other flavours. Did i mention the eggs are also sweet? Man.

But! I'll have to commend you for the miso soup. Look, I just like it. It's actually a free addition to the purchase of the rice bowls, yet i enjoyed it the most ;)) the tofu in the soup is very minuscule though lol they're barely a centimeter long, but hey? Who...

Really love this place. The prices are VERY affordable, and there are a whole host of things to choose from. There is an internal conveyor belt that delivers dishes around the restaurant. The range of things that are offered on the menu allow for all kinds of tastes. The food is fresh, and the flavour is just right. Strongly recommend the sashimi options; the soft-shell crab is pretty sexy too. Wash it down with a cup of delicious warm,...

Good food, good ambiance. The only flaw is... the hospitality from the waiters. I did ask a refill of ocha.... then I said thank you, the waiter didn't react or answer anything. Just get the jar and move away. Then.... I try again... ask about my order.... which is baby crabs, she said.... she will check it..... then.... again..... I said thank you.... I get the same reaction....no answer and...
