All the beautiful photos on the Internet seem to have been taken many years ago. In reality, you will see something completely different: • the fountains are broken and stick out of the ground as rusty fragments, water has not flowed there for a long time; • the lights only work in a small area, further on you will find complete darkness; • the tiles are chipped in places, the letters on the walls are peeled off and partially torn off; • people sit along the embankment - not on benches (there are none), but right on special concrete ledges, where they also walk; • there are two markets along the edges, from which unpleasant smells come, and this is where a lot of people gather, respectively, and there is a decent noise; • the embankment itself is tiny - only 400 meters, but the walk is unlikely to bring pleasure, because you will be accompanied by the main attraction of this place - magnificent rats with perfectly shiny fur and a confident gait, as if they are the rightful owners here.

Read moreThis is an alternative place to go for a family vacation at night. It is really cheap (Free entrance. You just have to pay for vehicle parking) but really live, especially at night.
This is Badung River which was magically transformed into a city park. Decorated with colorful lamps, shining water fountain, and some graffitis, the local authorities really bring up art to the next level.
The only major disadvantage is the river still stinks with a fishy smells, although the scent aren't strong.
