Komodo Trekker — Attraction in Flores

Our trip with komodo trekker (3days 2 nights - oct 2022) to komodo national park was one of the best things I ever did. The amount of things we did and saw in just three days, was amazing. We visited plenty of snorkeling spots, each one them being so different and special. Luis would go with me and point out all kind of interesting fish and corals. He also made sure we stayed away from the strong current. As Rinca suddenly reopened we changed our plans a bit so we could visit that as well, very flexible. A shame we could not do a walk outside of the visitor centre, that was at that time not open yet. Our visit to Padar was also nice, just a bit too busy, because ofvisitingin the weekend. Komodo was good, Luis made stress visited at a time the komodo would be easier to find and a time when there were no other people besides us. That’s what he did all the time, visit places at different times than all the other boats, which made it much more quiet. Food on the boat was amazing! With pisang goreng waiting for you when you got back from snorkeling. All in all an amazing three days!...

I went to Padar Island on 5 Nov 2022 and finished the trekking program at Post 6 in a relatively short time. At the beginning I doubted whether I could finish all the six posts considering my age, just 74 years old. Originally I planned to stop at post 2 or 3, just to accompany my wife who has a knee problem. She gave up at post 2 but I tried to make it at post 3. After reaching post 3 I felt I still had extra energy to continue. The 3-6 treks are much more challenging. Some parts are very narrow and steep. It is not very easy for an old man like me. My tour guide said before that the age record to reach the peak was made by a 70 year old man. As I can make it in my 74 years of age, I can do better. Maybe next year or two years from now I try to break...

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 The trip is fantastic. We really enjoy the 4-day visit to some exotic islands. The clear blue ocean is a rarity for us living in Semarang.

The tour leader is also awesome. His resourcefulness and knowledge of local wisdoms make him an ideal leader.

Plus the boat crews who have been very helpful throughout the journeys. And the cheff who always serves hot delicious food.

𝗞𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 Face to face encounter with the world rare dragon that still roams the earth really gives a chill. Not as big as we imagined, yet still frightening.

𝗣𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 This is the place that mandates revisiting. The scenery from the top of the hill is breathtakingly beautiful.
