I was on the hunt for the best seafood restaurant in Labuan Bajo, and knowing how crucial fresh, high-quality ingredients are for seafood, I started asking the locals for recommendations. Without hesitation, many pointed me to Berkat Seafood, a spot so well-regarded that even former Indonesian President Joko Widodo dined here during his visit.

Located just a 5-minute drive from the touristy center, Berkat Seafood offers a spacious dining area with plenty of seating and a wide variety of fresh seafood dishes prepared in different cooking styles. I opted for the catch of the day, which was cooked to perfection. The chef demonstrated incredible skill in balancing flavors, ensuring the sauce complemented rather than overpowered the natural taste of the fish.

I also couldn't resist trying one of the live crabs from the water tank. In fact, the crab was so lively it almost made a run for it during scaling! They prepared it with black pepper sauce, which thoroughly impressed my Singaporean friend—a true connoisseur of this iconic dish. Given how important black pepper crab is to Singaporeans, this is a testament to the restaurant’s quality.

The service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and the facilities were spotless. Even the restrooms were new and immaculately clean, which is always a pleasant surprise and adds to the overall experience.

went here to try their fish. i ordered Kerapu Bakar Bumbu Berkat. its their og sauce which has salty and umami flavors. i am hooked with the sauce and the texture of the fish. highly recommending this place if you are travelling with a group of friends because they have a huge space for park and dine. they're also has a very clean place, i saw the griller and how they washed their fish. just bring your kids over if you'd like to find clean place. my 2 years old daughter loved the fish too! the place is new so its quite hard to find the pinpoint on grab bike. so try to put kawasaki dealer motor if you cannot find this place. def would come back to try...
