Komodo Snorkel — Local services in Flores

We arranged a private tour with Komodo Snorkel and were highly satisfied with their services. Ervis was very cooperative and communicative. We are a family of five with three elementary school-aged children, and Ervis customized the trip to meet our specific needs. Given our flight departure from Labuan Bajo later in the day, we wished to maximize our time on the water. Ervis accordingly scheduled the tour to commence an hour earlier, which allowed us to avoid the crowds at various locations during the trip. Additionally, he accommodated our food allergies and ensured that the children had snacks and healthy foods available (the fresh chilled watermelon was especially appreciated on a hot day). Ervis was punctual, arriving at 5:30 AM for pickup. En route to the harbor, he located a convenience store for us to purchase medicine and Sprite for my daughter's unsettled stomach. This was just one of many examples of the whole team going above and beyond to help my daughter that day. We embarked at approximately 6:00 AM to visit Padar Island, Komodo Island, Pink Beach, Taka Makassar, Manta Point, and Turtle Town. Evan served as the captain while Stan acted as our guide. The crew was exceptionally helpful throughout the trip, particularly given my daughter’s ongoing discomfort. At times, they offered to carry her or assisted my children with climbing the steep stairs on Padar Island. When one of my family members stumbled down a stair, the crew promptly provided first aid with rubbing alcohol, bandages, and other supplies. Stan's knowledge of the area was remarkable, and he educated us about Komodo National Park and its wildlife. The early start likely contributed to the numerous animal sightings, as we encountered Timor deer, Komodo dragons, wild pigs, dolphins, manta rays, turtles, black tip reef sharks, and various other marine life. While we understood that nature doesn’t always allow us to see all animals, we felt that the Komodo Snorkel team put us in the best position to see the animals we were hoping to see. As this was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, we hoped to capture memorable photos, and Stan exceeded our expectations in this regard. He used my phone to document numerous planned and spontaneous moments through video and photography, resulting in the only problem from the trip…too many great photos to sort through. Although the weather was favorable in the morning and early afternoon, it became rainy and stormy later in the day. Stan consulted with me regarding whether to return to Labuan Bajo or wait out the storm. While initially waiting, the crew remained willing to continue waiting despite their own discomfort. However, due to the cold and tired condition of the children, we ultimately decided to return. I appreciated their commitment to providing the full time on the water and the option to stay, reflecting their dedication to customer service. Despite the bumpy ride back, Evan skillfully navigated us safely to Labuan Bajo. Komodo Snorkel delivered an exceptional experience with outstanding customer service, making our tour an unforgettable adventure. A Truly Amazing Day What a fantastic day! From before the start, to the end of the day, this was one of the best tours we've had.

We contacted Ervis ot Komodo Snorkel directly by WhatsApp. Communication was very prompt with lots of information. We opted for a private day trip on a Medium size boat, perfect for three of us and meant transit times were fast.

Ervis came to our hotel to brief our trip, provide options and take payment. Payment was easy, and was all inclusive (apart from tips). We chose to go early and it was well worth it. We beat the crowds to Padar and walked up to the viewpoint as the Sunrisers' were coming down. Aloysius was our guide, and he was great. His English was perfect and knew everything we needed to know about the landscape, culture, flora and fauna.

We chose for the long trek at Komodo, our ranger was lvan, who again was great. The long trek gave us plenty of opportunity to see the dragons (6 in total) some of them very close. We also went to Kampung Komodo before heading off to Pink Beach, then the sand bar, Manta point and Turtle town. We swam with mantas, tutles and sharks. A truly amazing life experience.

We enjoyed our Early Departure Shared Speedboat Tour to Komodo National Park. The communication was excellent. Everything went smoothly, starting with the early-morning pickup. We were happy to be able to start in the relatively cool morning. The crew was very helpful and friendly and they made sure we were safe and comfortable throughout the day. For us, the highlight was the snorkeling: so many fish and several turtles. I am not the strongest swimmer, so being able to use a life jacket and having crew in the water to watch out for us made me feel safe and secure so that I could fully enjoy the experience. And beyond the tour, Ervis, the company founder, helped us a lot, holding our luggage while we were on the tour and delivering it to us afterwards, and helping us arrange a driver for the next leg of our adventure.
