As far as Jakarta city limits is concern, this probably is the best beach you could find with convenience and not so pack as compare with the rest of the stretch of Ancol beach. As for the mall is concern, it serve as a harbouring point to park your vehicle in its shelter car park and a snack and beverage point if you so desire.

The beach outside the mall offers endless play time for kids to swim and build sand castle in a clean and safe environment (as benchmark of Jakarta standard). This is certainly not Maldives but hey having a beach front in Jakarta itself it's already mind blowing for me. I never knew it exist. The break waters forms a lagoon within it's beach compound, shields the lagoon area away from any strong waves. A little warning to individual who wants to swim to the break waters side be warn. It's filled with all kinds of rubbish wash up from Ancol side. It certainly will turn you off.

My observation of marine life within the beach is quite impressive. I witness small crabs and tons of sea weeds along the waters near the beach . Fishes can be seen swimming near the surface. Obviously not to be mistaken for Maldives standard, the water is passable enough (Indonesia urban standard).

For the mall part, it's quite sad. Other than the ground level filled with shops. Level 2 onwards are almost empty, save for a popular KFC outlet. Apparently there is a Alive museum but I did not probe further.

It's a great place to rest n relax in Jakarta. Something very unique in the capital's concrete jungle. Stay till sunset. Sunset is...

Were here to watch Fancon of Sehun and Chanyeol EXO. I was riding motorcycle to reach this place but people can use public transportation too to reach Ancol and for commuting inside Ancol people can use shuttle bus. The Stadium located inside of Ancol so you need to pay for entrance fee to Ancol first and could be bought in advance from application like Traveloka like I did. If bringing personal vehicle you need to pay separately too (also available on app) only once because inside you can park freely after. The outside of Stadium near to the beach so it was nice to hang around but the food stall selling overpriced snack unless you want to eat at several restaurants that available outside the stadium. But it was a lot of people so the restaurants also full of people. Recommended to bring your own food if possible. It was fine for me because if there was an event there also people came selling snack or meals with much more reasonable price. But if the gate for waiting area already open I recommend to came straight inside because the event organizer provide foodhall with pretty much better prices. As for the inside of building I think the places lack of toilet so there was long queue and the place is hot too, is the aircon not running well? I don't know. But since it is the building the waiting pretty nice and you can sit around in clean floor. Until then I was inside the stadium. Since it was a fancon I think it is okay for using small stadium. I don't know if other size available or not. Still, it was fun night...

Located inside the Ancol Beach City Mall, this concert hall is at the second floor of the building. The audio quality is great, pretty loud but not the annoying kind of loud, as well as the video quality of the videotron. I was there for this event called CXO Live on Stage with guest stars like Reality Club and Sore from Indonesia, and Epik High from Korea on the standing section. One thing that I feel when I entered the concert hall was that it's FRICKIN cold inside, so I advise you to bring some medicated oil (in Indonesia we call it minyak angin) like Fresh Care, Plossa, Safe Care, etc, or smth like Tolak Angin, Antangin, etc, or maybe drink smth warm before entering the hall. No need to wear warm clothes or long sleeves for you non-hijabers cuz it will get warmer eventually when you're there for quite some time after the music started. One thing that I liked in this concert hall is that they have toilet just at the left wing of the concert hall, unlike the other popular convention hall in Tangerang, iykyk. Also don't be afraid if your phone is running out of battery while having fun, because they got plenty of electric sockets at the South Lobby (Lobby Selatan), but careful bcs not all of it are working. Also the main lobby is located just in front if the beach, so if you want to chilling beneath the sun just before the concert, you can just go...
