I spent an afternoon at Ancol Beach, located within the Taman Impian Jaya Ancol complex. As one of the city’s most popular recreational destinations, the beach offers a refreshing escape from the urban atmosphere and provides a variety of family-friendly activities.

The beach itself features a long stretch of coastline with man-made breakwaters and relatively calm waters. Although not known for pristine white sand or crystal-clear sea, Ancol Beach is more about accessibility and convenience than natural beauty. It’s a great place for relaxing walks, casual picnics, or simply enjoying the sea breeze with a view of boats passing by in the distance.

I found the surrounding facilities to be quite well-developed. There are paved pathways, benches, food stalls, cafes, and public restrooms available throughout the area. It’s also connected to other attractions such as SeaWorld Ancol, Dunia Fantasi (Dufan) amusement park, and Atlantis Water Adventure, making it a full-day destination suitable for families and tourists.

However, it’s worth noting that the beach can become very crowded during weekends or holidays, which may affect the overall experience. Additionally, while there were visible efforts to maintain cleanliness, certain areas of the shoreline could benefit from more regular waste management.

In conclusion, Ancol Beach is a convenient and enjoyable coastal spot within Jakarta. Though it may not offer the natural charm of remote Indonesian islands, its accessibility, variety of entertainment options, and urban seaside vibe make it worth visiting—especially for travelers with limited time in...

Welp, where do I start? This is actually a great spot. Everyday before dawn you'll see people swimming for medicinal purpose. You have to know they're people with limited abilities. Some of them are on wheelchairs! This place is really unfriendly for disabled people with wheelchairs. You should have paved part nearby the water for this purpose. Then, make an accessible restroom/changing room for wheelchairs. You actually had one each in female & male changing room but whoa, you either need more cleaning service crew or build more of these important room. The shower in the sand is actually dangerous place for having to step inside of them. The outside are higher & made of rough, that's a huge hazard! Just recently my uncle fell and almost bust his head open. Really close, like two inches more and we're gonna have to stich his head. Yep, he's the reason I insist this place to be more accessible to wheelchair. If you're still going to ridiculously charging us for entering a public beach before butt crack of dawn, you better make it decent. I will change this review once the entrance fee is worth...

Pantai Ancol offers a diverse range of entertainment options, making it a popular recreational destination in Jakarta. While the beach area may not be the main highlight, the theme parks, waterfront promenade, and marina provide ample opportunities for fun, leisure, and exploration. Whether you're looking for thrilling rides, aquatic adventures, or simply a place to relax by the sea, Pantai Ancol has something to offer for everyone. easily accessible from different parts of Jakarta. It is approximately a 30-minute drive from the city center, and public transportation options, including buses and taxis, are available to reach the area.

The area is well-equipped with facilities such as parking areas, restrooms, and various amenities to ensure visitors have a...

Good for short time trip. The view is pretty much like the pictures I have here. There are many locals there especially in the weekend. There are many activities like ATV, riding boat, water park, aquarium, and more inside the area once you get the entrance ticket to get inside (25000rp/person). Each activity required more money. 🤣😏 If you go there by taxi, you'll need to spend 10000rp for your driver to drop you inside. Also, there are many variety of food and restaurants available. If you wish for a peaceful relaxing place, this is not the one. But if you are looking for a place to enjoy many activities in the city, it is the one. Yet, don't expect too much. Also, you need to prepare big enough budget for everything as well. You can go there by city train or taxi.

I thought Ancol is lame and there's nothing except DUFAN. but i confess my wrong perception. Sorry Ancol, bit.. beach. I got lots of nice picture there (maybe because it took by a professional photographer) and WHAT MADE ME CHANGE MY MIND IS..... you ready?..... DA "GOWES" E - scooter & bike sharing system. I took e-scooter than bike because I'm a scooter rider from 11 years old in Korea (South Korea for sure. dont event ask) It was suuuuuuuper FUNN with throwbacking moments while feeling the wind from ocean. & its only IDR 20,000 for 30min! But after the riding, your hair could be lil bit messy & wet so I recommend to take a photo first #LetMeTakeASelfie before you really enjoying the rides.
