decent place. the cassette store (that doesn’t just sell cassettes) is also alright. the service (of the cassette store) is kinda terrible though. the owner of it said his “minions” can handle it but only he knows the details of the store, something as crucial as where a certain cassette is placed, those minions don’t even know. they have to contact the owner each time. why doesn’t he just hire somebody to take care (and also know of the details of the store just as much as he does) of the store if he’s really that busy. i’ve been there about 4 times and only one out of three times was the owner of the cassette store present. his minions are hardly reliable. i now still don’t have my walkman and two other cassettes in my hands (which wasn’t cheap btw) that i’d bought like 2 visits ago (i handed them so that some stuff could be fixed but it turns out he NEEDS to be present for me to get those stuff back). i’ve been so patient so as to not jump to conclusions but enough time has passed for me to be able to form an opinion about this place. and the opinion is that it is overhyped.
also i just ordered coffee with a brownie and instead of separating the two they put the brownie in the drink like it’s an ice cube?? maybe this is just some niche thing that cafes do that i’ve never heard of or maybe it’s just...
Read moreThis is one of the hidden gem places in Jakarta. Never thought I could ever visit this kind of place. It's located right beside the Kebayoran Station, surrounded by local sellers beside the alley of Kebayoran Station. The ambiance was warm and chill at the same time, people come here to have a talk with their friends. It serves basic food and beverages and they're all in cheap price!
People who come here often find for unique and antique things and I think it's a place for some independent communities, such as music and literature communities, I'm not sure about it though but I was just guessing from the book collection it has. It's really great at day with the sun comes up and shades the place with trees' shadow. But I came here at night, raining, not too recommended coming here when it's raining, 'coz it makes the floor wet and the water's in every corner of the place. Still, it's very recommended for you who love to experience different side of luxurious Jakarta!...
Read moreI came at noon and it was so hot and humid. Very uncomfortable with the cigarette smoke and not enough ventilation. Drinks were cheap and not very good (pretty sure it was instant coffee). There was a seemingly legit coffee maker but they were open later than I arrived so I didn’t try their coffee.
It was dusty and smelled a little like dead rat. Looking at the place I’m pretty sure there is one hidden underneath the heap of furnitures and rubbles nobody thought to throw out. There was a poster of hitler like they didn’t know what he did? Or to seem edgy? Idk.
Only came here because my friend wanted to come here cause of tiktok but really there are so many decent cafes in south jakarta you really don’t have to experience...
