In the end you are asked for a „voluntary donation“ for the temple and have to hand the cash to the guide since the priest is surprisingly not here. (after telling the priest is only here for special occasions) However if you donate to little you may be confronted with guilt trapping and sayings like: normally the tour guide gets 50k anyways. Read moreA nice place to sit and enjoy the view of the old palace built by A.A. Ngurah Karangasem. It is shady and feel very religious. You can visit is the Bale Kambang, a Bale(house(?)) in the center of the pond there. You can try traditional food such as Rujak and Pecel. Mayura has the most famous rujak and pecel. As it placed in the city, the acces is easy.
Sadly, there's only few place to sit down but you can still sit on the grass if you want. The restroom is a little bit dirty. You may charged for entry ticket but it's not costy.
