The world famous Tegallalang Rice Terraces, featuring the insta-famous "Bali swing" and the other activities (zip-line, couple swings, flying carpet, superman flight, etc) is a must visit attraction/landmark in Ubud, Bali! The main attractions are the "activities", the ones you usually see in Instagram photos & reels, but the true gem of the place is of course, the nature. The old-age style rice terraces, the local trees & fruits that grow there, the scenic pathways around the terraces and the lush greenery from edge to edge! If you don't want to wait 30++ minutes in queues for the activities (swings, zip-line, etc) make sure to visit very early in the morning. After 11-12am it gets very crowded and there's a wait of 1 hour or even more at the main activities, even renting a dress for the swing for the ladies is going to take a while! We went at like 10am on their national holiday, and there was a 10-15 minute wait at the swings. The personnel was very friendly and helpful, and passionate about what they do. They're practically experienced... smartphone photo/video shooters....

🌾 Tegallalang Rice Terrace - Stunning Views & A Must-Visit Spot! 🌄 Our visit to Tegallalang Rice Terrace was absolutely amazing, this place is every bit as beautiful as the photos suggest! The scenery is just breathtaking, with lush green terraces stretching across the hills, creating a peaceful and picture perfect landscape.

We took our time walking around the fields, enjoying the view and even spotting a few local farmers working the land, which gave it such an authentic, grounded feel. It’s a great mix of natural beauty and local life.

Of course, this place is also an Instagram hotspot, with swings, ziplining, and viewpoints scattered throughout. If you’re into photos, this is the place to be!

One tip: come early! We arrived early in the morning and had plenty of space to explore and enjoy the views. By the time we left around 9:30 AM, it was already starting to get quite busy, so if you want to experience it without the crowds, definitely make it a morning stop.

Highly recommend Tegallalang, it’s a must-see when...

This is a collection of establishments who charge a 25k pp entry fees to get into the rice terraces areas. Once you’ve entered you can choose from a bunch of swings, hearts and all kinds of insta photo traps. Each of the swings and photo points will cost extra - anywhere from 150k to 250k including the flowing dress for effect.

Once done with the photos you can actually take a walk down and up the hills, amongst the paddies. The path is not even and not paved all along so sturdy footwear is a must. We visited during rains so it was quite an adventure.

Climbing up the opposite hill gives you a nice view and has a couple of places for chilling, snacks and drinks etc.

Recommended if you want to avoid the lines for swings and hordes of people.

Note - This area is beyond the super crowded Alas Harum where all the taxi drivers and hotel guides will push you to. If you want to get here you will have to explicitly ask your driver or rider not to drop you at the earlier crowded joints where they obviously...
