I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at this place, as I believe it's essential to provide feedback when our expectations are not met.
During my visit to Uma ceking, I encountered numerous issues that left me feeling disappointed and dissatisfied. The main concern I would like to address is the behavior of the staff members. Regrettably, I found them to be rude and unprofessional, which significantly impacted my overall experience.
One particular aspect that stood out was the staff's communication. While they conversed among themselves, it became evident that they were talking and laughing at customers, including myself, in a disrespectful manner. Although I may not have understood the specific content of their conversations, their tone and behavior were unmistakably impolite. Such conduct not only made me feel unwelcome but also undermined the professional atmosphere that one would expect from a place like this.
In light of my disappointing encounter, I feel compelled to recommend an alternative venue that offers a far superior experience. Alas Harum, a place I recently visited, impressed me with its outstanding service and exceptionally professional staff. While their prices may be slightly higher compared to Uma Ceking, the difference in experience is truly remarkable. The staff at Alas Harum were welcoming, courteous, and dedicated to ensuring that customers have a memorable and enjoyable time.
I sincerely believe that constructive feedback can help establishments like Uma Ceking improve their services. I hope my comments will be taken into consideration, as I believe it is crucial for any business to maintain a high standard of professionalism and courtesy.
However, despite my dissatisfaction, I would like to express my gratitude to Gung Rai, one staff member who was genuinely helpful during...
Read moreThe rice terraces were of course beautiful, and the place itself is a typical made-for-Instagram type of place with swings and flower decorated seats, etc.
However, I don't know why I was treated so poorly. I stood clearly in line (only one in line), as another lady was on the swing. The attendant was telling her what to do, taking a LOT of pictures for her. I waited patiently, not saying a word. Towards the end of the swing session, when it should be my turn, another couple walked up behind me. The attendant then told me "you are after this couple". I was surprised, so I asked why. The attendant then lied to me and said the other couple already got a number. I was like, okay. The couple, however, said, no, no. We never got a number. You should go. The attendant then made me feel super bad by emphasizing, "they are letting you go ahead of them". Even after I was on the swing, he had my phone, but refused to take any pictures. Half way through my session, he gave me phone to someone else to take pictures and stood aside, sulking.
I don't know what the fuss was all about! This stupidity made me feel bad the whole time I was there! Totally unnecessary and what a waste of the beautiful scenery.
Train your staff better. Just because someone is there alone doesn't mean they should be treated differently. At least that's the only thing I can think of for being...
Read moreSo, so, SO touristy — of course. Uma Ceking Resto and Swing is divided into several small terraces, each with their own swing and zipline. It really doesn’t matter which entrance you use — they all offer the same thing: quick photo and then you’re out.
Yes, you can get some good angles for Instagram, but if you’re hoping for a peaceful walk through the rice fields or a scenic promenade, this is not the place. It’s extremely crowded and feels overwhelming.
One thing that really bothered me was the misleading advertising: they promote the typical swing photo with the dress included, but once you’re up there, you have to pay extra for the dress rental. It feels like everything is monetized to the max.
I understand that it’s a popular tourist attraction, but honestly, the original charm of the place feels lost. If you’re not into swings and photo setups, I’d recommend heading further up the road where there’s a donation-based access to the rice fields with a more authentic vibe.
Sadly, I wouldn’t return. I left feeling more stressed...
