Beautiful Garden in an old estate.in the center of old tehran. The buildings have been converted into a set of galleries including Kamal al molk and many other old persian artwork. The garden itself has lots of water features and ponds with greenery. There is a very traditional Persian restaurant rouhi in one of the buildings. And an outdoor terrace cafe serving heavenly natural Persian mocktails and herbal teas and small bites. This garden is also home to the new Ms. Monir Farmanfarmaian museum. The world renowned artist ,now living in tehran, has a stunning display of "ayneh kari" :Persian geometric mirror work. The art is a special tradition passed down in generations within specific families dating back centuries. Cannot be described in words. Highly recomended

Tehran Negarestan Garden is a historical garden located in Tehran, Iran. It was established during the Qajar dynasty and has been a popular tourist destination for both locals and visitors. حتما از این مکان تاریخی بازدید کنید. فضای بسیار اروم و زیبایی داره و شما رو در ای ارامش غرق میکنه. تاریخچه: این بنا و باغ آن در سال ۱۲۲۲ هجری قمری (۱۸۰۷ میلادی) ساخته شد و در زمان ساخت خارج از محدوده شهر تهران قرار داشت.[۴] فتحعلی شاه قاجار، به این باغ علاقه ویژه‌ای نشان می‌داد و اغلب مدتی از تابستان را در این باغ به سر می‌برد. به‌همین جهت، به ساختمان‌ها و تزئینات آن می‌افزود؛ به‌طور مثال، به دستور او گلخانه بزرگی در ضلع شمالی باغ احداث شد که به نارنجستان شهرت یافت.[۴] فتحعلیشاه، وقتی عازم سفر می‌شد، ابتدا به این باغ عزیمت می‌کرد و بعد از تعیین ساعت سعد برای روز حرکت، سفر خود را آغاز می‌نمود. در آن روز، روحانیان، شاهزادگان و رجال به این باغ می‌آمدند، برای سلامت شاه دعا می‌کردند و احیاناً هدایایی تقدیم می‌نمودند.[۴] در سال ۱۲۸۴ قمری که ناصرالدین‌شاه بر گسترهٔ شهر تهران افزود، این بنا در داخل حصار جدید قرار گرفت و پس از بنای کاخ‌های صاحب‌قرانیه و سلطنت‌آباد، این باغ در اختیار نهادهای حکومتی قرار گرفت. این باغ محدود است از باختر به خیابان صفی‌علی‌شاه، از خاور به خیابان دروازه شمیران، از جنوب به میدان بهارستان و از شمال به خیابان آتشکده (علایی) و محل سابق دانشکدهٔ ادبیات. در قسمت جنوب غربی آن ساختمان سازمان برنامه قرار دارد. در ۱۳۰۴ ه.ق این باغ به مدت یک سال به وزارت عدلیه اختصاص داده‌شد. در زمان مظفرالدین‌شاه، پس از سفر به فرنگ و بازدید از مدرسهٔ فلاحت امپراتوری در مسکو، اولین مدرسهٔ فلاحت ایران با استخدام یک بلژیکی در این باغ دایر شد. کمی بعد در بناهای جنوبی باغ، مدرسهٔ مستظرفه به ریاست کمال‌الملک تأسیس شد. با گذشت زمان از آن‌جا که این باغ دیگر جزو بناهای سلطنتی نبود، رو به ویرانی رفت، تا این که در سال ۱۳۰۷ هجری خورشیدی، وزارت معارف در این محل سه بنای بزرگ ساخت و به دارالمعلمین عالی اختصاص داد. برای این کار از معمار و مهندس روسی مقیم ایران، نیکلای مارکف کمک گرفته‌شد. سپس با رعایت اصول معماری ایرانی، نقشهٔ تبدیل عمارت به دارالمعلمین تهیه گردید. باغ نگارستان نیز به دست سید علی‌اکبر باغبان طراحی شد. دبیرستان علمیه نیز تا سال ۱۳۱۱ ه.خ در یکی از این سه بنا دایر بود. با تأسیس دانشسرای عالی در خرداد ۱۳۱۱ ه.خ تمام بناها به این دانشسرا اختصاص یافت.

I absolutely adored this place!! A beautiful garden with two musueum buildings (one builing had an exhibition of a contemporary Iranian artist, and the other one had the paintings from the early 20th century, silver crafts, mural and etc.) So beautiful.... I didn't want to leave the place!! I walked around the garden again and again, and had a great coffee time and a small lunch at the museum cafe which is located at the entrance. Hope many people come and appreciate the beauty of the Iranian garden. Highly recommend!! (Entrance fee was 400,000 Rial)

Very beautiful Garden. Museums are very interesting. There are a painting museum, carpet museum, silver museum and a special hall for showing a wall painting. There is also a museum of artworks of Monireh Farmanfarmaian, a great modern art artist, who recently passed away. The garden is fantastic. You can walk around and enjoy. In Negarestan there are also a gift shop, a Cafè, and a traditional restaurant which has delicious Iranian dishes. I liked Gheimeh Nesar (an Iranian dish from Ghazvin province) very much. I recommend visiting Negarestan.
