Al-Hussainiya Holy Shrine Museum The museum contains hundreds of valuables and rare pieces donated by princes and sultans, especially the kings of India, Turkish sultans, Persian and Arab princes, in addition to ministers, dignitaries, merchants and Muslims from various Islamic countries. Only a small part of it, where many of them were stolen at the hands of the treacherous clans that attacked the pure Husseini shrine throughout history. The shrine was robbed during the Abbasid era, the Ottoman era and the Saddam era, but there are some valuables that were delivered from the malicious hands of the aggressor, and they are now displayed in the blessed Museum and there are many Of the exhibits, there was not enough space to display them, and they will be shown after the expansion of the museum. Read moreFrom my last trip on Nov, 2021. As i went there alone i had some spare time so went to check They have lift to reach which is good but to enter steps might be a bit difficult on old people. It is located inside the shrine which again not an easy access, and other religion followers might not be able to enter which personally i do not think is a good choice, but for security of the place i think for current time might be okay. There are lost of old stuff related to the shrine but again some if them more related to iraq history, the lighting of museum i guess need more work on it I did use my camera even it is forbidden, so yes they do need...
