Ardmore is a lovely seaside resort. The village is small but has all the amenities you could possibly want. Two hotels, one the 5* Cliff House, a number of pubs and restaurants including the Whitehorses which is a match for the Michelin starred restaurant in the Cliff House in many ways. The views are stunning as you walk so close and so high above the coastline. For those who like to seek and find things why not try to find the local landmark just on the coastline as you walk around known as the "Tea Cup". The parking in the village and adjoining car parks is a nightmare and not suited when there are a lot of people in the town. The best beach is not the main one but one beyond the rocky part. It's more isolated and quieter away from screaming unruly kids and their families. Beware though if coming from Cork that Castlemartyr on the way is s traffic nightmare and you can spend 20 minutes...
