Difficult to review this restaurant without bursting into what readers may think is hyperbole, but we think that our dining experience at Tony Parkin's, House Restaurant was probably the best meal we have ever had. Each phase of the 5 course tasting menu was an awakening. Ingredients you would never expect to be sitting on the same plate together either compliment or enhance. Balsamic melon hidden beneath a canopy of almond flakes actually made me giggle it was such a surprise. Japanese herb jelly and tomato consommé was a revelation. This menu changes seasonally and is a beautiful selection of well balanced dishes It is also optional to do a wine pairing with the tasting menu which they have put a lot of thought behind each wine to accompany each dish.
