Lovely little harbour to dander along. Restaurants and cafes are great but can be very busy. Great shop with gifts, pottery and art works. Children’s play park isn’t too far. In summer there’s usually buskers to liven up the place with their music. Skerries has two Martello towers at Red Island and Shenick Island. The Skerries sea pole beside the car park is a memorial to those who lost their lives at sea. There’s loads of plaques with the names, ages, year they lost their lives at the bottom of the sea pole - an interesting read and lovely tribute. Car parking isn’t too bad with a decent sized car...

In the nice day, you can see the st Patrick's island, etc. Clean and green park, with kids can play around.
There are some restaurants those offer seafood chowder or other seafood, plenty of choice.

Read moreSkerries is lovely. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants in the Main Street. On the coast there is a beach and a promenade for a walk and amazing views to the ocean. There is plenty of parking. Close to the promenade there is a small ice cream shop and their ocean is so taste and they have a variety of different types of ice cream. You can have one and seat in the beaches looking at the sea. There is also a playground for the little ones. The mills can be visited but I didn’t this time.
