I went there during Heritage Wk. 2023. So the usual adult admission price is 10€ was waved as I booked under the Heritage Week banner online. Overall, I was very impressed. I did think that the tour guide who was very good and did know his stuff & the history of the place along with the history of milling flour, being as he himself said - a related family member to the last owners could have asked us at the start of our tour if we had questions...to please ask them! Or could have told us how exactly he was related to the mill as he was very vague about this... that would have added to the experience much more. Prob a minor thing, but I've been on many of these tours now to places ( not Mills but!) and knowing the guides link to the place really adds to the persons experience while visiting I think.
The mill is full of history and antiquities, and the guide was very knowledgeable. The length of the tour is ideal. It is not too difficult to navigate for most healthy folk, but disabled and elderly may think sections are not for them.
The cafe is wonderful, but perhaps a proper plant base protein sandwich filling (please NOT Falafel as every vegan is sick to high heaven of Falafel as the only option offered!!!!!!!) would have been a great addition to the menu. But they do have alternative plant based milks for tea and coffee, which is good.
There is a lovely gift shop also. The car park is close to the entrance to the mill building and easy to park in. I'd highly recommend a visit to...

Read moreWow. I am very delighted with this site. It is also because I am a baker. And coming here was like going to Disneyland for me. The spaces are very well maintained and despite the fact that it is a tour where you do not have a guide. The signage and the brochure they give you so you can guide yourself are very good. The craft store is spectacular. And also the site has a small restaurant. All common areas are perfectly clean. And all the covid restrictions are respected. If I could I would give it more stars but I give it the maximum of 5 because it deserves them. It is a well cultural walk that shows a little of the history of Skerries. But it also shows you a bit of the history of the bakery and how it was worked in the past. Anyone who wants to come to know, I tell them that it is worth it but if they can cough up their time in each space so that they can understand a little more how the...
