Ramsey Bay — Attraction in Ramsey

Lovely sandy beach, good all year round. Dogs welcome all year too on the whole beach. The pier is in the process of being fixed which will take some time but nice to see progress. On a low tide you can walk a good distance. Requires wellies or walking boots as the river crosses the beach 3/4 of the way along. Good beach for a paddle as it gently slopes even at high tide. Ramsey bay has a large beach and a very old pier. You can walk along the promenade to the Life boat station and further to the town harbour. It is unbelievable that they are going to restore this pier hopefully to its prior glory with the tram line going along the pier that was originally about 700 yards long, built some where in the late 1800 I would live to see...
