Ravioli House — Restaurant in Ramsey

Really hate giving a low score when the food was so great. First the food the GF pizza was tops.....best she has had on tour....4th pizza in 2 weeks, so high praise. The lamb stew was fantastic, melt in your mouth stuff, but missing the promised (according to the menu anyhow) accompaniments. Now why not ask for them you may ask? Well, the service was patchy at best. And they were just starting to get busy, and had managed to fit us in (as long as we were done in an hour). Drinks order taken, and delivered, attempted to order the food with her, no go, need a food waiter. Eventually the boss took out order for our food, and some more drinks please. Food comes extremely quickly, (my order wasn't completely heated through, but close enough. Finish my meal, wife 7/8ths of her pizza and the drinks arrive. Sorry, I don't want those.....we've all but finished. Start to argue, just politely ask her to take them away, but I will not be paying for them, especially as our hour is just about up now. Unfortunately there was a large group due in, and nearly all the tables and chairs had to be dragged around the floor. Most distracting. Don't expect to get a table here if they are a little bit busy. The girl server kept repeating herself, ' sorry no, sorry no, sorry no' with no explanation why. The owner was in the kitchen just looking at us (2 people)and didn't say a word. I assume he was cooking the food and wouldn't be able to cope with another cover. It was 7.45pm on Saturday and there were 2 empty tables. So we left and sat outside in the car to see if they turned anyone else away. They did. We sat outside a bit longer and within 5 minutes of us leaving, 10 customers left the restaurant so the place must have been half empty and it wasn't closing for over an hour. The owner must be rolling in £'s if he is turning away customers. Good luck to ya. We definitely will NEVER step over your threshold again....

We were staying in Ramsey for a Staycation. We visited this restaurant as we have never been here before on arrival owner was friendly and welcoming and we took a window table. We were asked what drinks we wanted and owner came back with drinks and menus / specials. We had garlic bread with cheese and tomato and bruschetta and mains were calzone with bacon onion and pizza ham pineapple. There was so much food, food was piping hot and plentiful.

We really enjoyed our meal and bill was a good price if you have not been here give it a go you won't be disappointed
