Coral Beach — Attraction in Eilat

Large shades offer fresh areas for families to just sit and relax and there are picnic benches to sit and eat. Food entry allowed although there's a snack bar in loco. Soil is sand with few stones which don't belong to the place and should be completely removed. Entrance to the water via two piers (one of which is damaged and was blocked a long time ago and should already have been revamped) and also through determined swimming areas in order to protect the corals.

One negative point is a mass of concrete that, for an unknown reason (to me) was dropped to the seashore and formed a hard and ugly platform in the waterline, making it uncomfortable both to the eye and to the foot. Should be demolished and removed asap.

There is close surveillance by the park's rangers regarding swimming and diving in closed areas as well as boating close to them, taking (dry) corals or other items (even stones) from the beach is forbidden (the ranger just called the girls now telling them "girls you may gather, observe and play, but please leave them there when you go").

Heaven for snorkelling, especially for nervous snorkellers: they have designed a snorkelling 'route' around the reef with a rope you can use for guidance and feeling a bit more secure. The marine life is amazing with huge colourful fish. They rope of the main reef to protect it from damage from selfish tourists, but you can still see it from the edge. Beach has plenty of shade and chairs. All equipment and lockers available. Take your own food as all you can get here are french fries or frozen pizza they heat up. It's a place with shower, toilets, diving equipment to rent, shops and more. There public bus lines getting you from any point of Eilat to this Nature Reserve Beach. In Hebrew: חוף האלמוג Hof Halmog. The beach is huge and very clean. Wonderful for sea nature lovers because there you can see all the sea life just getting in the sea.
