Hidden up in the hills of Amalfi, this farm welcomes you like family from the moment you arrive. Surrounded by fresh, homegrown ingredients, we were warmly greeted by Pasquale, the host, with a rich cup of coffee to start our farm experience.
We dove right into the kitchen, where the farm owner led us through an immersive cooking class. As they say in Italy, we truly got to “mettere le mani in pasta” (get our hands in the dough)! We learned to make two Italian classics: Tagliatelle and Ravioli.
Starting with the dough, Pasquale shared the secrets of the perfect ingredient ratios, kneading techniques, and fermentation times. Tagliatelle, a traditional egg-based pasta from Emilia-Romagna and Marche, is known for its wide, ribbon-like shape, while Ravioli is a small square pasta filled with ricotta. We used a fork to seal each edge and lined them up beautifully. The farm’s organic veggies were the perfect addition to our freshly made pasta sauce, and we even whipped up a classic Tiramisu from an old family recipe.
Each moment of this experience was hands-on and memorable, from kneading and rolling out the dough to filling and cooking the pasta. Pasquale and Rosanna's attention to detail made it a wonderful, personal experience that deepened our appreciation for Italian cuisine.
In Italy, pasta isn’t just food; it’s a celebration of love and tradition. Making Tagliatelle and Ravioli is an art, and every step reminded us of the Italian passion for family and friends. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful guidance, we felt right at home. Savoring our handmade pasta with the farm’s organic sauces and wine was the perfect ending to this authentic Italian experience. Highly recommend this...

We booked a room here, because of the great reviews and we were blown away. The hosts Pasquale and Rosanna are incredibly welcoming. The rooms are clean and very well kept. The location San Lazzaro is a bit further away from the popular cities like Amalfi and Positano; it takes about 45min to get there by car. However, it is a great starting point for hiking. There is also a local bus route that can take you all the way down to Amalfi, from where you can take the ferry to all the popular destinations. During the summer months this would be the best option, because there is very little parking available anywhere. If you have any questions about which places to visit or how to get there, Pasquale is very knowledgeable. He was more than happy to explain the best way to get down to Amalfi and the famous Path of Gods. The food they prepare is all home made from ingredients they produce at their farmhouse. Even if you are just passing by, make sure to stop for a delicious dinner. When we were there, they offered a delicious antipasto starter with homegrown pickled vegetables, cheese and cured meat, cheese filled ravioli with a vesuvian tomato sauce and a hint of lemon, accompanied by a lovely tiramisu and paired with their homemade wine. Check the photos in the other reviews to get the general sense for the dishes. If you enjoy gourmet food, it's worth going out of your way just to get dinner here. They also offer pasta, mozzarella and pizza making courses. We are planning on returning there to try out those as well. Cannot recommend this...
Read moreAbsolutely the BEST cooking class on the Amalfi Coast. Nestled in the mountains above Amalfi you will immediately feel like family upon your arrival. We loved every single minute of learning the family recipes of Ravioli, Tagliatelle and Tiramisu from Pasquel. The hands on experience of how to make the pasta from scratch was not only fun BUT easy. We just loved the attention to detail that Pasquel and Rosanna take to make sure you have a memory filled experience. From the organic wine to the yummy pasta, farm fresh sauces and cheese and deserts you will NOT be disappointed.
The best part was that we signed up for a different class at a different cooking class facility that evening. A very happy accident. Little did we know this though. Our taxi driver brought us to the address we asked for (which was the wrong one) and when we arrived we were surprised we were the only ones there being how popular the class was. Pasquel greeted us with miracle water (the ingredients a family secret I am sure) and the best cup of espresso we have ever had. From there we were immediately immersed into creating and cooking. Upon our departure was the first time we learned that we weren’t even signed up for their class. They went out of their way to proceed with no questions asked and by far gave us the best possible experience we could ever ask for. We immediately paid them for the class and their time and took home some of their homemade goat cheese and olive oil. A must have to remember this wonderfully welcoming family owned business. We cannot wait to come back soon!! Thank you again for your wonderful...
