I recently had the pleasure of participating in the Valentino Cooking Class, and I must say, it was an absolute culinary masterpiece. From crafting heavenly Ravioli and delicate tagliatelle pasta to creating the most phenomenal Tiramisu I have ever tasted, this experience left me in awe.
The class instructors at Valentino Cooking Class were not only experts in their field but also passionate and dedicated to sharing their knowledge. Their guidance and patience made the learning process enjoyable and accessible to all skill levels. They seamlessly blended technique with storytelling, creating an immersive and captivating environment.
The hands-on experience of making Ravioli and tagliatelle pasta was nothing short of magical. Under the instructors' expert guidance, we mastered the art of pasta-making, from kneading the dough to perfecting the intricate folds and cuts. The end result was a symphony of flavors and textures, transporting us straight to Italy with each bite.
However, it was the Tiramisu that truly stole the show. The instructors revealed their secret techniques for creating this iconic dessert, and the results were sheer perfection. Layer upon layer of delicate ladyfingers soaked in rich coffee, embraced by velvety mascarpone cream—every spoonful was a heavenly revelation. It was, without a doubt, the best Tiramisu I have ever had the pleasure of indulging in.
Not only did Valentino Cooking Class provide an exceptional culinary experience, but it also fostered a sense of community and camaraderie among the participants. The warm and inviting atmosphere encouraged collaboration, allowing us to connect with fellow food enthusiasts and share in the joy of creating remarkable dishes together.
The facilities at Valentino Cooking Class were top-notch, equipped with all the necessary tools and ingredients to facilitate an outstanding cooking experience. The attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization were evident in every aspect of the class.
In conclusion, Valentino Cooking Class is an absolute gem for anyone passionate about Italian cuisine or simply seeking an extraordinary culinary adventure. From the delightful Ravioli and tagliatelle pasta to the show-stopping Tiramisu, this class offers an unforgettable journey through the flavors and traditions of Italy. With expert guidance, delectable recipes, and a warm and welcoming environment, Valentino Cooking Class has my highest...
Read moreIt’s a bit difficult to find. We traveled by bus from Amalfi (got very motion sick while doing so unfortunately - not impacting the experience 😊) and were a bit worse for wear when we got up to Agerola. It’s under 10 minutes to the class, but it is tucked behind a road with other homes / farmland. Follow the road back and turn left. There is a second floor open patio area which is where we cooked! Some signs up the road / some photos with arrows on the Airbnb listing would have helped my fuzzy brain a lot! A few members of the group arrived late, but we waited a bit and then kicked things off so they didn’t miss much! It was a class of 9 people in the end.
Giovanni (a super talented 13 year old) leads the class with a lot of spirit and shows how to make three recipes - tiramisu, tagliatelle noodles, and mozzarella. Ingredients are from the farm and recipes are passed through the family.
The class moves on Italian time (we were there from 1:00 - 5:00). Many of the family members, mostly kids, are involved in the process. The place also seems to operate as a restaurant so there were others in the area. Felt like big community.
I appreciate the communication before the class as I had a booking issue and it was accommodated no problem. Thank you for a fun class and Italian experience!...
Read moreGiuseppe and Giovanni were wondering throughout the class. Their home is set high in the hills in the town of San Lazaro. overlooking the Amalfi coast. Getting there isn't easy. You have 2 options either taking the Sita bus from Amalfi towards Agerola and getting off at the last spot San Lazaro (you won't miss that stop bc it's the last one). Bus is only 3 euro. This is their town and the walk is only 5 min. Option 2 is a taxi....if you can find one. Expect to pay at least $80-100 for this one way.
The return is harder. No buses will run and their isn't any taxis near their town. You have to make arrangements for car prior to getting their or I heard that Valentino (boys father) will help arrange a ride back to Amalfi.
Their home is very nice. Open layout where we made tiramisu, mozzarella and pasta. We walked down their road and visited their garden, farm and took gorgeous pics overlooking the coast. Drank their homemade white wine and had a blast. Our driver came at the...
