The museum itself is quite interesting, with many unique items I haven't seen elsewhere. Normally, I would rate it 4 stars, but I dropped it to 2 because of an unpleasant experience with a staff member. An elderly man, who seemed to be part of the staff (2nd floor), first told us that running the little boat machine twice was enough. Then, he followed us around the exhibit, which made us uncomfortable, so we decided to leave. It wasn't our intention to be shadowed by a grumpy staff member. Front desk staff were very...

I strongly encourage to visit the museum. Some of the machines in the museum still work and you can turn them on, especially reconstructed silk mill is amazing. The history of Bologna's silk mills, Aldini Valeriani institute and history of packaging machines are described here vastly. With Bologna Welcome Card Easy the entrance is free of charge. Each exhibit has description in English. I think that you need more than 3 hours if you want...

Excellent museum about the industrial heritage of Bologna. The museum is very easy to navigate and the exhibits are well executed. As a very poor Italian speaker I appreciated the translations provided at the exhibits.

It really was a treat to see the packaging and silk machines run!! This is a must see if you like science or engineering.

I also appreciate the docents who were very helpful and attentive....

Amazing museum, it has so many machines and a lot of them can be started, it’s a very interactive museum. The silk mill is something unic, I don’t think you can find it anywhere else. The stuff is so friendly and helpful, even we were just two persons a guide came and explained to us how the mill works. I strongly recommend to visit this museum when in Bologna
