As we were driving from The Valley of the Temples toward Sciacca we saw this village way up high on a mountain, it looked so cool way up there that we decided to make a side trip and back track a bit the next day. Totally worth it, the views from the top were stunning, 360 degree panorama vistas out to the sea and the interior valleys. The ride up in a car is not for the feint of heart, the winding twisting roads are often without guard rails and if you are sketched out by heights you might not want to add this one to your list. It's also advisable to bring some water for the hike up as it's hella hot up there and the wind will accelerate your dehydration. It isn't a tough climb up though, as the stairs all have railings and while the steps are crumbling in some areas, overall it was pretty well maintained...
