MMMAC Museo dei Materiali Minimi d’Arte Contemporanea — Attraction in Capaccio Paestum

I literally stumbled upon this place, walking along the tree -lined avenue that leads from the temples to the small railway station. I was immediately captured by the wording “materiali minimi -minimum materials". The structure, I believe an old agricultural warehouse of a few centuries ago, is itself a place that catches the passers-by gaze. Entering, I have immediately understood that I was in a "different" place. Not a usual museum with beautiful works of art, but also a kind of archive of artists' ideas, the seeds behind their creations. Definitely, something else. Seeing the draft of a drawing, of a sculpture, the starting point of everything, can turn to be something even more interesting than the work itself. I have really enjoyed to navigate my gaze through every single little detail and get lost in front of the drawings. The room is not really large, the space and the energy, they are. I...

Anche in questo caso, ci troviamo davanti a quei piccoli gioielli nascosti, ma neanche tanto, che il mondo dell'arte e della cultura ci propone. È un delizioso mini museo di arte contemporanea nel bel mezzo dei frutteti e della campagna di Paestum, a due passi dai più noti templi. La cornice in cui è situato è a dir poco magica e il museo se pur piccino offre opere di grande suggestione e racconta una storia di passione e dedizione al territorio e all'arte. I' ingresso è di soli 5 euro, poco più di un caffè, ma li vale tutti anche solo per il progetto del tuffatore.. arrivare fino a Paestum e non passarci è un vero peccato....

Emozionante luogo senza tempo e con tanta stiria..un recupero della location ed un attenzione ai materiali maniacale,esposizione bellissima questa seconda edizione ancora più. Bella peccato che sia poco pubblicizzata è veramente un museo che fa la differenza..molto bravi e gentile il personale...
