Driving up the Stelvio pass is an exhilirating experience. Alpine vews and of course seeing the glacier is special. The atmposhere is very nice at the town and the cafe Tibet is the place to eat and get a drink. Prices are fair. Quality of food and rinks is very good. For bikers; I recommend starting before 8am. Most traffic starts a little later and then it is congested. We also went summer skiing (end June). The conditions are good at the top, but lower down it is slush... also lots of queueing for just very short runs. But for a unique skiing experience it's worth the effort.
