My visit to Skyway Mont Blanc was a truly extraordinary and unforgettable experience. This cable car facility, located in Courmayeur, offers spectacular views of the Mont Blanc massif and the surrounding alpine landscapes. The journey begins with an exciting climb aboard the scenic cable car, which rotates 360 degrees as you climb, allowing you to enjoy an all-round view of the mountains and the valley below. The cabin is spacious and comfortable, and the rotation offers breathtaking views from any angle. First stop: Pontal d’Entrèves** (1,300 m): the departure station offers modern facilities and a cozy area where you can have a coffee before starting the ascent. Second stop: Pavillon du Mont Fréty** (2,173 m): this intermediate station offers a large panoramic terrace, an Alpine botanical garden and a restaurant where you can enjoy local specialties. It’s a perfect place to take a break and admire the landscape. Third stage: Punta Helbronner (3,466 m): the final station is the highlight of the journey. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view of Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks. The panoramic terrace is the ideal place to take pictures and admire the majesty of the Alps. In addition to enjoying the panoramic view, there are several activities that you can do in Punta Helbronner, such as visiting the crystal exhibition and the mineral hall, or venturing on hiking trails to explore the alpine landscape more closely. The staff of Skyway Mont Blanc is extremely professional and courteous. They are always ready to help and answer any questions, ensuring a pleasant and safe experience. In summary, the visit to the Skyway Mont Blanc is a unique experience that allows you to experience the majesty of the Alps from a privileged perspective. The quality of the infrastructure, the beauty of the views and the professionalism of the service make this excursion unmissable for anyone who loves the mountains and nature. I highly recommend taking the time to explore this alpine wonder and let yourself be fascinated by...

My sister and I decided we wanted to visit Mont Blanc while we were in Europe (August 2016) and after researching the cable cars in Courmayeur and in Chamonix we decided to visit Courmayeur.
The round trip ticket to Punta Helbronner is €48. You will need to take two cable cars to get to this point, the highest point.
The cable cars are wonderful. They are fairly new and large. They rotate 360 degrees (slowly) the entire trip to up the mountain so you are sure to get a good view no matter which side of the cable car you end up on. After seeing the Chamonix cable cars I was glad we opted for the Courmayeur side of Mont Blanc.
Each of the two stops have something to offer. The first stop has a small cafe where you get a snack and a drink. You can proceed outside to the deck where there are lounge chairs so you can relax in the cold air with a beautiful view. This was actually my favorite part.
The top has a restaurant, gift shop, a crystal room and the Mont Blanc room. The Mont Blanc room is a good area to sit indoor and relax for a few. You can walk outside and enjoy the crisp cold air and take pictures with the white mountain in the background. It is truly a gorgeous place.
The only downside to coming to the Italian side is if you are coming for this attraction only like we did, we came from France and took the tunnel into Italy. The toll for the tunnel is very expensive. Round trip it was over €60. Make sure to buy the round trip ticket instead of one way. If you purchase 2 one way it will be around €100.
If you have time to spend and want to view someplace beautiful then I would suggest taking the cable car to Punta Helbronner. You will not regret...
Read moreMy dad and I visited Monte Bianco via Skyway today. I will tell you, it was AWESOME. Many people who post here have described the cost to ascend to the top Euro 56/pp. While it is not cheap, I will tell you it was worth the expense going to the very top! The trip takes about 10 mins to the first level, switch cars and then another 10 minutes to the tip. The views are incredible! While it was in the upper 80s where we stayed in Chatillon, it was in the 40s at the top of the Skyway and it was a beautiful sunny day! We stayed about 4 hours at the summit. Of note, they have a nice restaurant at the summit where you could get lunch or dinner or just a coffee. You could purchase in advance or purchase when you are up there. Also, there is a restaurant at the Turino Sanctuary - you take the elevator from the summit down to a tunnel which takes you to the sanctuary. We ate lunch there - lasagna and dessert, delicious and reasonably priced. Also, when ascending to the summit, you are usually limited to 1.5hrs before you have to come down. If you pre-purchase lunch or dinner OR purchase lunch or dinner at the summit, they will validate / extend your stay at the summit for as long as you would like. Staff were pleasant and helpful. All and all a wonderful trip with my dad. Hope to able to make the trip again with the rest...
