The place is beautiful, beach so clean and precious, so comfortable to be at.. it was being a great day, absolutely perfect.. till I went to the showers and a woman who worked in there told me I couldn’t pass because I was coming from “free beach”... everyone started to look at us like if I entered without permission.. so embarrassing.. after a few minutes discussing with this bad mannered woman, trying to explain myself saying that I paid my entry, and she keeping on insist that I was lying (?!?!)... she simply turnt her face into a big fake smile because she suddenly knew she screwed up, and calmly went away... I was like 😳 wondering what was that made her wonder if I was at the club or not.. I don’t give 5 stars because of this mistreatment.. I think nothing similar happened to me before in any place I have been.. I paid more than 50€, and people working in there must be more cautious with their behavior... I understand the entry must be controlled, but not like this.. shame .. because the place is absolutely great and the day for us was so perfect.. till I...

Headed here for a drink at about 3 pm, on a cloudy day mid-week. We headed to the beach and attempted to get a towel and a bed. The staff member on the beach sent us back to reception to pay for this. The reception, who were helpful, gave us a free ticket as it was late in the day and sent us to the beach. We provided the ticket to the staff member on the beach who duly provided a bed and towel.

Having finally settled down the staff member returned and informed us that we weren't allowed to be there and moved us to another bed along the beach. A life guard then didn't like this and duly told us off and proceeded to get angry because, as far as we could tell, we'd been provided with a free ticket. After many minutes of arguing and a language barrier, he eventually gave up.

An utterly ridiculous display of customer service. All involved seemed to be more bothered about enforcing a rule than delighting customers. We would have returned on other days but we'll take our...

The beach itself is lovely - white sand and not many waves. Great for a chill dip. However, the service at this lido was below expectations.

Firstly, as they claim to be a “luxurious” place we e paid €60 for two sunbeds + 1 umbrella in the cheapest area of the lido - which is ridiculous on its own. The gentleman at the reception made of us feel like we weren’t welcome (maybe because we were choosing a cheaper option?) and gave us the worst sunbed location. As feedback, a smile would go a long way and you could let the customer pick from the sunbeds available to tailor to their preferences.

Then the lifeguard who “guided” us to our allocated bed seemed very unhappy to be there also. Honestly, for the amount of money we paid, I expected at least a friendly service and a smile.

The ladies at the showers and the bathrooms were lovely and these were always sparkling clean.

Overall, the beach itself is worth the visit but I would not be paying to stay at...

Schlechter Service! Also Ärger um nichts!!! Bad service! We had traveled with Costa and had been assigned pre-reserved loungers and parasols in the 2nd row (where you can hardly see the sea). The sunroof on my sun lounger was broken (cannot be found) and then I went to the beach. When I came back they had my wife expelled from the site with the information that the area no longer belongs to it, although they had opened the parasol for us. An Italian neighbor took pity on me and left my wife in "her" shade. I put my wife's lounger back under "our" parasol The tour guide came and tried the same game (initiated by the beach lounger operator Lido Sabbiadoro). After pointing out the defective lounger, he exchanged the lounger for an intact one (the same one I had gotten before). As an absolute Italy fan, that " "money-geile" behavior but very frustrated. Spent a nice day of vacation with this review, but such behavior is simply not tolerable cash, especially since we paid 55 euros. I have to say that I suffer from a strong sun allergy and am dependent on shade. The joke is, the beach chairs mostly remained empty, see the photo. So worry about nothing!!!

If you live in the area from Bari to Monopoli, you can visit several smaller beaches. If you prefer a sandy beach, I recommend Lido Sabbiadoro... You can get to the beach through the officialh entrance, where you pay for 1 sun umbrella and 2 sunbeds approximately €70 for the whole day. There is an excellent restaurant and bar in the area. The sea here is beautiful, the sandy entrance to the sea is also suitable for children. You can get to the beach from Monopoli by bus, a ticket costs €1.10. Attention, the stop in Monopoli is on Plaza St. Antonio, but there are two stops, so you have to wait not at the official indoor stop, but a little way towards the sea 🙂
