Lido Le Macchie — Attraction in Monopoli

I am reluctant to give negative reviews, but I believe this place could benefit from some improvements. The prices have significantly increased, including additional charges for the 1st and 2nd rows. It feels like they are finding every possible way to charge for access to their facility. However, they are fortunate to be located on a nice beach, which many people enjoy despite the costs.

We decided to have lunch at their restaurant, two couples, including my pregnant wife and a friend with a 6-month-old child. Usually, such circumstances would prompt faster service, but here, our order was forgotten, and we waited two hours for our food. It arrived just as we were about to leave. When I mentioned this to the general manager, he simply said, 'It can happen on a Saturday,' which I found disappointing. We paid €150 for 2 umbrellas and 5 beds, €8 for parking, and a €20 surcharge for sitting in the 2nd row (which was actually the 3rd row), yet we did not receive satisfactory service.

The issue with this area of Puglia seems to be that some businesses lack the basics of hospitality. They have become popular due to the region's rising fame but do not always provide the level of customer service one might expect.

Went here on a sunday mid-May. Most beautiful sand beach in the region. The beach is kept really clean, the sea is shallow for ages (great for the kids), the waves are not high and only on this stretch there are not many rocks on the seabed. The beds were €20,- per two, an extra €10,- for a parasol. Well occupied by locals, there were quite a few returning guests which seem to get some privileges over one-time guest. This was the only annoyance (if you could call it that). The restaurant is very fairly priced, staff is helpful. You could get a quick meal or sit down for a great apulian lunch, family style. We did not go to many other Lido’s (there were not many open this early in season) but we felt like this was the best one, especially because of the local guests. Certainly...

Pessimo! Ci sono una serie di cose negative da evidenziare ma la più importante è il comportamento di chi lavora in questo posto. Entriamo dal parcheggio del lido con l’intenzione di andare sulla spiaggia libera; costo del parcheggio 10€, prezzo altino ma passabile per la comodità di poter lasciare la macchina in un parcheggio custodito e all’ombra. All’ingresso del parcheggio il tipo toglie di mano la banconota al mio ragazzo senza dirci quale fosse il costo del parcheggio. Comportamento alquanto sgradevole! La spiaggia libera era piena per cui ci rechiamo al bar per chiedere informazioni circa i costi del lido , alla domanda “potrei avere informazioni circa i costi”, un uomo mi risponde infastidito e con sufficienza “cosa vuole sapere?”. I costi sono alquanto ridicoli : 20€ per un lettino e 20€ euro per un ombrellone. Optiamo per il solo ombrellone, ci viene presentato un conto di 30€ euro anziché 20€ come previsto. Ci viene spiegato che chi prende solo l’ombrellone deve anche pagare l’ingresso al costo di 5€. Informazione che non ci era stata data prima. Per chi prende anche il lettino non c’è alcun costo d’ingresso. Mi chiedo ancora quale sia il senso. Prendiamo due ombrelloni per altre persone che ci avrebbero raggiungo di lì a poco. Ci vengono mostrate le postazioni e ci sistemiamo. L’ombrellone è un semplicissimo ombrellone con un piccolo tavolino sporco e pieno di sabbia. L’ho pulito senza problemi ma abbiamo pur sempre pagato 20€ per un ombrellone, quanto meno mi aspetto che sia pulito! Andiamo a farci un bagno e quando torniamo troviamo sotto l’altro nostro ombrellone delle sdraio con gente sistemata. Chiedo informazioni per risolvere la cosa e mi viene detto che avremmo dovuto sistemare qualcosa di nostro sotto l’altro ombrellone così da far capire che fosse prenotato. Ragionamento assurdo, avendo già pagato sarebbe stata loro premura segnare che quella postazione fosse occupata. Durante il giorno ci sono stati svariati problemi con le prenotazioni anche di altre persone. Ci siamo spostati e abbiamo continuato la giornata , nonostante tutto , in modo tranquillo.
