Unfortunately we made stop at Parco Leonardo shopping center few days ago, before our flight from Fiumicino airport. We spent there no more than 2 hours. As we came back to our rented car, we found the trunk empty, all the luggage with personal belongings of me, my husband and our 2 year old daughter stolen, though we left the car locked. It was like a cold shower after nice trip of 2 weeks in Umbria and La Marche, visiting such inspiring places as Assisi, Loreto, etc.... Luckily we had our passports with us, otherwise we would have to miss flight. All our warmer clothes were gone, so we had to call relatives to meet us late evening in the airport with warmer clothes, especially for our daughter, as it was only +8 in our country and we were dressed for Rome's +26. The most upsetting about this event was losing some personal belongings, that do not have any value for thiefs, such as my rosary and memory card of photo camera with lots of pictures of our little daughter. I understand that it would be too desperate to hope that the thiefs will read my review and will be willing to return these things somehow... We have been in Italy number of times before, but this was the first time of such a negative experience. As I learnt later the thefts from cars are very common in the parking area of Parco Leonardo. It's a shame, that the owners of the complex do nothing to improve security issues in their territory. When I returned home I have tried to contact them by sending a message via their web site, but there was no response... So I can only advice to other travellers: avoid visiting this place if you have any luggage in your car or you can lose it even in the middle of the day, as it happened to us, and your holidays...
Read moreLet's start with the positive aspects. WoW Side Shopping Center offers a decent variety of stores, catering to different needs and preferences. From clothing and accessories to electronics and household items, there are options available for various shopping requirements. The presence of multiple stores in one location provides convenience for shoppers looking to fulfill multiple needs in a single visit.
The shopping center also provides ample parking space, making it relatively convenient for visitors. The availability of parking facilities is always a plus, as it ensures that shoppers can easily access the stores without having to worry about finding a parking spot.
However, the recent name change to WoW Side did not leave a strong impression on me. It seemed like an attempt to rebrand the shopping center without a clear vision or purpose. The change did not add any significant value to the overall shopping experience and left me feeling somewhat confused about the direction and identity of the shopping center.
Additionally, the atmosphere and ambiance of WoW Side Shopping Center did not stand out. While it was clean and adequately maintained, there was a lack of a unique or captivating ambiance that would make it an exciting or memorable destination for shoppers. It lacked the charm or character that could differentiate it from other shopping centers...
Read moreI was here recently with my family, since we we're staying in a hotel nearby. We arrived at noon (broad daylight) and planned on staying for no more than an hour. We left no bags showing in order to leave no reason for thieves to break in. After shopping we returned to the car only to find that the window had been smashed and all our belongings had been taken out of the trunk which had been closed and its contents hidden. After two minutes, while we we're still on the phone with emergency services, the police arrived on the scene, they said that they saw it on camera (at least that's what we could understand from their Italian) and that this happened very often. After filing a report at the police station we were free to go. They seemed very powerless in this situation and very uninterested, possibly because we were tourists. This is a very common occurrence as we we're told after the fact by both the police and the airport employees, I can't emphasize this enough and I wish that I had read the TripAdvisor page (13 english reviews, of which 6 involve a car being broken into) before. Do...
