Calignaia — Attraction in Livorno

AVOID - Expecially foreign tourists should avoid this beach. It’s very difficoult to find a parking spot and even if You are able somehow, cars are regularly visited by THIEVES. While You are enjoying the sun, thieves may break your door windows, damage your keylock, etc. I personally got my car door demaged, and I was away for just few hours, so this must be organized crime. I didn’ t leave anything inside the car, but instead than checking from the windows, they decided to damage my door, just to take nothing. So be aware… they tend to prefer foreign tourists as they will not always report the issue to the police. The beach itaelf is beautiful bu not worth...

Parken kann man oben am Restaurant oder direkt an der Straße. Man sollte aber unbedingt spätestens um 10 Uhr morgens kommen, sonst ist es schwer einen Parkplatz zu finden und außerdem ist ab 12 der Strand sehr voll. Nach unten kommt man über einen Trampelpfad, der ohne Klettern bewältigbar ist und etwa 7 Minuten dauert. Am Steinstrand kann man sich Liegen mieten, die zwar nicht ganz günstig sind, aber es lohnt sich zum Entspannen. Die Sicht ist toll und das Bild das sich ergibt, wenn man von oben auf den Strand guckt, ist total faszinierend, da er unter einer Brücke liegt und daher wirklich ungewöhnlich, aber schön aussieht. Diese bietet zudem Sonnenschutz!

Was wir am besten an diesem Strand fanden, ist der einfache Einstieg ins kristallklare Wasser und ist man mal drin, kann man hier wunderbar schnorcheln. Es gibt sehr viele kleine Fische und anderes zu sehen. Der Strand ist ein "Zwischending" zwischen Sand- und Felsenstrand.
