Palazzo Beccaguti Cavriani - Art Gallery and Suites — Attraction in Mantua

This place is anything but a palazzo...my wife and I booked a room for one night through Booking.com. When we arrived, the appearance was more of a commercial building rather than anything residential, not to say, palatial. We called the number that we were given to let them know that we had arrived: no answer. We entered the courtyard and hunted high and low for any sign of an hotel; nothing. Called three more times over the course of 15 + minutes to see if we had made a mistake or not. Still no answer. We made an executive decision to leave and find a proper hotel closer to the center. Bel palazzo, casa curata, stanza con affreschi e mobili di design, cucina bella......ma non mi è piaciuta; non ha anima, non si capisce cosa sia una sala, una camera da letto......il pavimento scricchiola in un modo sinistro....il letto a due piazze fatto con due materassi accostati (io sono abbonata a finire nel buco che inevitabilmente si forma in mezzo) l'ho odiato...confesso che sono nata e ho vissuto a lungo in un palazzo d'epoca, quindi li conosco bene e ne conosco i problemi. Lo consiglierei? Non credo, a minor prezzo, sono certa, ci possano essere soluzioni molto più...

Wunderschöner Palazzo. Sowohl das Freskenzimmer im Obergeschoss, als auch das Studio Apartment im Erdgeschoss sind einfach traumhaft gestaltet. Wenn man ein paar Nächte in Mantua verweilt und diese in einem außergewöhnlichen Ambiente verbringen möchte, empfehle ich eines der beiden Zimmer. Neben der sehr herzlichen Begrüßung gab es auch noch eine private Führung durch den Palazzo und die dortige Ausstellung. Immer wieder gerne....
