I didn't visit this place. I only watched an online architecture course - a lecturer spent 9 mins talking about this place passionately.
At first, I thought who want to be buried in this place? This is just like a very ordinary ugly factory probably many workers spent most of their life in. People don't have choices because they have to make for living. But how on earth they choose to be buried in this spiritual prison? They already had enough unpleasant experience and depression during their life. For living people, how can they visit this place and memorize their ancestries with any good memories? Just emptiness and frightened, perhaps.
The building without windows is not a special design or philosophy. It is just like a multi-story parking space you can find anywhere in the city. Or an unfinished office space with absolutely no attention to details but still with no fund to continue to be built.
