An Unforgettable Vineyard Experience in Montalcino, Italy

If you ever find yourself in Italy, make sure you carve out time to visit this vineyard in Montalcino.

It’s honestly one of the most incredible wine places I’ve ever been. From the moment we arrived, the team at Patrizia Cencioni made us feel completely at home. They were warm, welcoming, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Exactly what you would expect from a traditional Italian family.

We were shown to our table, where our guide for the day, Lucrezia, greeted us with the kind of genuine Italian hospitality you dream about. She made sure our glasses were generously filled, and gave a detailed account of how each wine was made.

But what made the day truly special was discovering that Patrizia who joined our tour, wasn’t just a guide, but the winemaker herself.

This is someone who doesn’t just talk about wine; she lives and breathes it.

We were lucky enough to have her personally take us on a tour of the vineyard, walking us through the lush rows of vines that have been nurtured through the generations, the that now feature Annalisa and Arianna as the next custodians of this amazing vineyard.

From there, she led us down into the cellar, cool, quiet, and rich with the scent of oak barrels and ageing wine.

As she explained the process, you could hear in her voice just how much she loves what she does.

She spoke about the history, the traditions, and the painstaking attention to detail that goes into creating their incredible Borello wine.

This is more than just a job. It’s a craft, a legacy, and a passion passed down through the years.

And then came the tasting. Honestly, this was the moment everything clicked. The flavours were rich, complex, and perfectly balanced, easily the best wine I’ve tasted in the region.

Each glass and vintage, felt like a story, with layers unfolding the longer you savoured it. I’ve come away from this experience with a new found appreciation for Brunello wine.

If you’re visiting Tuscany, you owe it to yourself to experience this. Book a wine tour, take your time, and let yourself be guided by people who truly care about what they do. And here’s my personal tip: if you ever see Patrizia Cencioni on a wine list, don’t hesitate, order it.

You’ll be tasting a wine made with heart, tradition, and a dedication to excellence that’s...

An Unforgettable Experience of Organic Wines at Patrizia Cencioni Vineyard

I had the pleasure of attending a delightful wine tasting at Patrizia Cencioni Vineyard in Montalcino, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. The vineyard truly impressed me in multiple ways, and I was captivated by their dedication to organic wine production.

Our guide, Alice, was not only an excellent storyteller but also an expert in her field. Her lively and professional presentation of the vineyard's history and their various wines was incredibly inspiring. She created an intimate and relaxed atmosphere where we felt welcomed and engaged throughout the tasting.

We were introduced to three different varieties: Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Solarianne, and Rosato rosé wine. Each wine had its own unique character and flavor profile, and it was fascinating to learn about the extensive process behind producing these wines. Alice shared her expert knowledge in an easily understandable manner and patiently answered all our questions.

The tasting was a true delight for my taste buds. The Brunello di Montalcino wines were full-bodied, complex, and of the highest quality. They struck a fantastic balance between fruity notes and soft tannins, providing a long and pleasurable finish. Rosso di Montalcino was a lighter and fresher wine that still managed to retain its character and authenticity. Solarianne and Rosato rosé wine were both surprisingly delicate and perfect for a warm summer day.

After the tasting, I couldn't resist the temptation to purchase a few bottles to take home. The vineyard's wine shop offered a wide selection of their fantastic wines, and it was a true pleasure to have the opportunity to bring some of this expertise home with me.

Overall, my experience at Patrizia Cencioni was an unforgettable journey into the world of organic wines. With an excellent guide like Alice, who made the tasting informative and entertaining, it was a true pleasure to learn about and savor their exceptional wines. I highly recommend visiting this vineyard for an authentic and...
