Vulci Park is one of the most serene places we've ever discovered. The park features two main trails: a shorter one that takes about 1.5 hours and a longer one that takes around 3 hours to complete. With the 10€ ticket you'll get a map and a short explanation of the trail by gentle and dedicated people.

DELUDENTE E MAL CURATO !!! ASPETTATIVE NON RIPAGATE

Un’ora e trenta di auto per il nulla, una stella è anche troppa ma non per il parco in se ma per come è venduto e gestito. Di parco archeologico non dovrebbero parlare visto che ci sono quattro resti in croce mentre 90% del restante complesso è una distesa di boschetti, radure, recinti di cavalli, bufale e colline niente a che vedere con un parco archeologico (sembrava più una fattoria). Area parcheggio tenuta malissimo per i dipendenti sistemata e coperta dal sole e intemperie, mentre i visitatori un parcheggio butto nella terra battuta. Ingresso 10€ a persona ma non c’è nessuno che controlla se avete il biglietto o no, tant’è che ho incontrato una coppia di ragazzi che erano andati a fare il bagno lungo le rive del fiume all’interno del parco e nessuno dei due sapeva del biglietto sono entrati e basta senza problemi. Ecco sul punto che il parco è abbandonato a se stesso senza nessun guardia parco o personale che sia presente nel aria ne rende anche pericoloso la visita visto che nella zona non c’è praticamente segnale telefonico nel caso una persona si sentisse male sarebbe ben lontana dal poter chiedere aiuto. Le indicazioni sono o nascoste dalla boscaglia oppure inesistenti, sulla mappa c’è perfino segnato punti ristoro con “fontanelle d’acqua” ma durante tutto il percorso (ho fatto il percorso lungo) non c’è nemmeno una di quelle segnalate a nessuna posizione. Il sentiero tenuto malissimo, ricoperto dal erba e rovi, introvabile a primo occhio, ho dovuto usare una mappa offline per poter capire dove mi trovavo visto che quella sul depliant era un mero disegno con indicazioni grossolane. Altra cosa veramente inaccettabile e che sulla mappa mi viene segnato un punto con antichi ruderi “Ponte Rotto” ma arrivato all’area segnata sul depliant non c’era nulla che somigliasse ad un ponte rotto o lontani resti. Altra “attrazione” è il laghetto del pellicano che pure per arrivare è un impresa, le indicazioni ancora una volta sono ridicole e mal poste ma una volta arrivati si è davanti a una sorta di pozza d’acqua nessun laghetto perché non è altro che il fiume fiora che a causa della morfologia scendendo a valle viene strozzato dalle rocce per poi sfociare in questa piccola piana e dopo proseguire a valle. In poche parole avevo alte aspettative visto l’enorme numero di recensioni e per la bellezza del luogo ma che sono state distrutte del tutto. Volte visitare un parco archeologico non andate a Vulci che di archeologico non ha niente o poco.

Aggiungo che le recensioni positive non sono per niente meritate e che spiegando poco o nulla sono forvianti, vorrei ricordare parchi archeologici sono tali perché hanno rovine e reperti da mostrare come quello di Ostia antica per fare un esempio banale o la necropoli di Tarquinia...

Well the archaeological site is just incredible and so interesting and we enjoyed walking around it though it is quìte exposed for the majority of the walk. There are explanation on some of the boards in english as well as italian and you receive a park map from a surly woman at the entrance. Bring snacks and drinks as the restaurant nearby the pond walk is not great. You will have to do your research before arrival as unfortunately, the staff at the admission desk were disinterested and verging on rude. No advice or guidance offered and they wanted as little to do with us as possible...3 women sitting behind a desk, doing nothing and answering our queries was just too much for them. However don't let that out you off, the site itself is amazing. Toilets on site. They advertise ebike rental but when I enquired I was given a short no. It would have been better enjoyed by bike...
