I highly recommend to AVOID this place at all cost. The whole ‘experience’ was rubbish from start on onwards. We arrived and were told that the wait time is 10 minutes. 30 minutes later we got our table. The waiter came after 5 minutes to told us that there is an english version of the menu, he passed a qr code to be scanned on the table and vanished for 20 minutes. Then second waiter who was more of a glass collector catched my eyes for the fifth time and saw that there isn’t anything on the table and came and asked us if we want some drinks 🙄 2 minutes later the ‘primary’ waiter arrived and asked us if we want anything to drink 😖 I told him that we already ordered.. he looked confused.. the drinks came and so did the second waiter, we ordered the pizza and waited 30 minutes to receive our pies. One pizza came without the base sauce so we asked if we can order marinara sauce which we would put on top and would be happy to pay for, he refused and made a scene on the entire restaurant that it’s a sin to put a sauce and we will not be getting or buying any sauce. We ate one pizza and the second was uneatable because it didn’t have any base, it was dry and burned at the bottom. We asked for a bill and said we will be paying with card, the primary waiter came with a card-reader and asked as to put in how much money we want to pay. We payed what was on the bill, which included coperto and he took an entire pizza away and demanded a tip. He was very passive agressive and he didn’t get any as the service was below any level of acceptance. An embarrassment to any dining experience, terrible flexibility and no respect for customers. DO NOT COME HERE!!!

What can I say? My hobby is to cook Napolitan pizza. I came to Napoli just for the food and I tried many restaurants. 50 Kalo pizza suprized me to a level I was shocked! I usually cook napolitan pizza with big canotto but when I tried 50 kalo, it completely changed my mind and I learned a lot. It is about everything: 1-the ingredients are crazily special. I wish I have those where I live. Specially, the olive oil. I like the way they add it after the cooking. I can really taste how delicious it is. The mozzarella: soo fresh. I realized Im not really eating mozzarella I guess it s because it s sooo fresh. Tomato: just top, not sour nor tastless. You can really feel it. 2- the dough: this is the best dough I have tried in my whole life and I have tried and made many. I never liked a dough too soft or too crunchy. But this one is in the middle. I realied how important it is to eat with a fork and knife because that way you really enjoy the melody of aromas. 3- the venue and the staff: those are the nicest people. When I told them I am a pizza cook they were very communicative and friendly with me. They were even interested to see the pizza I cook and they really encouraged me (cooking pizza is just my hobby). Overall, my trip to Napoli didnt dissapoint, and 50 Kalò was one of the reasons.

Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star and am tempted to give 3 stars is due to the poor management of assigning tables when you check in at the front door. We had a party of 4 and like anyone else checked in and waited in line for around 40 minutes. People who checked in after us maybe waited 15 min with party of 2,3,4,5,6 which was pretty annoying and I've never felt disrespected as a patron. I do not like to make assumptions, but if you dont look Italian then they tend to push you aside and not honor the check-in system of first come first serve. Besides the horrible management of the line, the food here is amazing. They do have amazing selctions of pizzas, regardless of which you choose the taste and the aromas are wonderful. I will say if your from the states it might be a hit or miss, but this is as authentic as you can get with the pizza. The service inside the restaurant was top notch, love my guy speedy Gonzalez. Sorry I forgot your actual name but I enjoyed the table service and everything he recommend was perfection from the pizzas to the dessert. I would highly recommend the caramel cheesecake. I would highly recommend this spot for everyone to try and will come back when I return to Napoli again.
