Lido Belvedere — Attraction in Oliveri

One of the girls (with braids) working on the bar side was openly rude about my speaking English. When I entered she appeared friendly, but then immediately became unfriendly when I used English. I speak very little Italian but she pretended to not understand what I was saying when I tried and asked "che tipo?" While pointing at the croissants, rolled her eyes when she looked to her coworker and told her to talk to me instead, and rolled her eyes to customers who walked in while she was interacting with me. Honestly, no one needs to start their day with being treated like that, it's awful. Thankfully the other girl working at the bar who came to help was very kind with me. If not for her, I would have left and this would have been a 1 star review. People save to come see this beautiful country, they don't need to be shamed for it. The lido part was good. Nice staff reasonable rate. The restaurant is where I had a very rude experience. Served me a dish that was explained in a different way than what it was cooked. Dangerous for people with allergies. When I gently explained to waiter that I could not have an ingredient and that I was not clearly explained the bizzare secondary name for a tomatoe he basically left it to owner whom Ridley said what did I expect him to do. No alternative or meeting half way. Not kind or of customer service oriented. I paid almost 30 us for a piece of old bread and a bottle of water as I could not eat the dish I ordered. The food was great, the problem was the service. Me and my sicilian boyfriend came to have dinner on friday, we ordered antipasti and second dish. The food was great and it valued the price, but before finishing our antipasto cameriere brought already the second dish. The price was higher than normal restaurant so also the service should have been better than this. We asked more bread waiting for 10minutes, not arrived, we asked again and cameriere had bad face about our request. They should develop the service, having more customer you should have more people who knows how to serve the customer. Or just...
