Spiaggia Vergine Maria — Attraction in Palermo

We walked about 40 minutes to get to this beach. As you get closer to the beach the filthier it gets. Open rubbish bags, with rubbish strewn across the pavements with the added delight of the smell of the bins themselves.

After passing what I assumed was the local tip, we arrived at the “beach” (I use this word lightly). Do not compare it with, or expect it will look anything like google has posted. I don’t think though all my travels I have stumbled across anything quite like it. Filthy, rocks and a weird smell in the air. With no where to eat or drink, it’s was like a scene out of mad max!

Go there if you want to experience it, but please make sure your jabs...

I was scared to go to this beach at first cause of some reviews here but I still went and I’m grateful for that. Beach was not as dirty as some people might have said and you had the most amazing views and water quality here. I also was at Mondello beach yesterday and I’d much prefer this one to it. Though Water gets quite deep sooner and there’s no sand I prefer it this way. At Mondello beach there are many private Clubs and the Beach left to people is very narrow, People were almost sitting on each other, however here you got more place and a free beach. So...

Two beach in a raw one is white sand Mondello and another one Exactly next to it Vergine Maria. But not same here, I’d rather say more stone and less sand here. Plenty of space but always you need to be more careful while you swimming here. Cause stone, sometimes it can be more slippery. There’s no fees you need to pay for the beach neither any agency there for you offering umbrella and shower with chair there I mean none package 📦😂 so you will have your plenty of beach time.
