Well, I guess there’s plenty of people for whom this resort is great and fantastic but max I can give is 4stars. Why? It’s generally crowded, most of it is just one main mountain, not so big, not wild, very commercialized with lot of gondolas going from all directions. So you feel like in pretty industrialized place and not in real wild mountains. Happily there’s also smaller connected part of the resort which is nicer more natural etc where we spent half of the day. Ski runs of different difficulty but rather easy and midium. Length: longest (ried) is I think 6km, interesting rung, on main part of the mountain usually it’s 2-3km. Real km of the resort is something about 40-60km not 120km. You can ski everything in one day like we did. Parking paid at 7€ - bit pathetic given how much you need to pay for the skipass. All in all - not bad place, enough to have fun, fast gondolas, pretty safe, but also without real atmosphere, crowded, not so beautiful like Tre cime or Val gardena etc. Too expensive...

Great organization re. COVID measures:

contactless purchase of skiing pass (online purchase and payment, receipt of QR code, scanned at the machine located at Kronplatz lower station, which prints your individual skiing pass, then activate via App connecting your Green Pass/EU vaccination certificate and you are good to go) - genius! FFP2 or surgical mask required in closed lifts 2G entry rules for huts...

This is one of my absolute favourite ski resorts in Europe. Great verity of slopes for all levels of skiers and in all directions around the mountain so you can optimise for weather conditions like wind from a certain direction or sunny side in late afternoon. It can get busy in high season but everything runs like clockwork on really modern and well maintained ski lifts. I wish I could ski here every day.
