Sigi — Restaurant in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

This is probably the best restaurant I have found at a ski resort. I pretty much used this place as a regular canteen for the week I vacationed at Kronplatz. The food can't be beat, it's first class. The prices are simply incredible. But what I liked even more was the service, which was not as attentive as you would encounter in those fancy-decorated restaurants at ski resorts, but more like the kind you would find in the restaurant next door to your house. The waitress had a somewhat odd sense of humor, but I liked it. I've seen people in the reviews complaining about the service here, and I can probably understand what they were expecting. Very good value for money. The portions are really big and tasty. The atmosphere and working staff are specific - which does not necessarily mean bad. The specificity comes from the fact that local people work there. Not the training of the waiters. The restaurant itself is a bit old - it would be nice to save some money to renovate/modernize...
