Museo Civico della Paglia — Attraction in Signa

Calm your expectations; there wasn’t a grand offering you would expect from other museums around Italy; it’s small and humble. I was hoping there was more information and text to read about the town of Signa with its rich past in hat production, but nonetheless, while I found myself in Signa, I’m glad I popped in and found what I came across charming and appreciated the display of what they had.

To complement the experience, take a walk down to Piazza Cavour and you will find a lovely window display...

C'est un joli petit musée. Le prix des tickets est trop cher (5€). On y est resté un peu moins d'une demi-heure. Les objets présentés pourraient être intéressants, mais il n'y a pas assez d'explications. Et surtout dans la salle du sous-sol : des bustes et des objets en céramique sans expliquer pourquoi ils sont dans ce musée, d'où ils viennent et de quelle...

Forse sarebbe stato un museo interessante, se solo ci fosse stato qualche addetto alla biglietteria presente: orario di apertura, cartello che informa che il museo è aperto e invita a rivolgersi agli addetti, nessun addetto presente, nessuna risposta ai miei "buongiorno, c'è nessuno?". Anche un semplice cartello di "torno subito" sarebbe stato...
