Trattoria Pizzeria Il Castello di Signa — Restaurant in Signa

I need to say from the beginning that we went very late to eat so I'll absolutely understand that after a long day you want to go home because I work in the same sector so I know the feeling but there is something that I think they should give a little bit of attention... Me and my girlfriend went to eat at 22.00; we get a table straight away without booking which was absolutely great. The menu looks interesting with a great selection. We decided to go for the menu testing (4 courses). The starter was absolutely stunning that brought my expectations to a new level but in the end the rest of the menu was alright nothing special. And our waiters looked bit annoyed at us but not sure why... I repeat myself was late and I'll understand that but that doesn't excuse our customer service (she didn't even put the plate in front of us she just left you them on the side of the table...). Pasta was definitely Al dente but I'll say that 1 extra minute would of changed it completely. Because I have to say to bottom of the pasta wasn't cook properly. The fish was all right but a found it a bit plain the vegetable on the side were nice but as I said my expectation were high after the starter. I really like the dessert because was simple fresh and not to complicate with a good taste. In het pittoreske dorpje Signa ligt het restaurant Il Castello di Signa. Een sfeervol en authentiek restaurant waarbij het personeel vloeiend Engels spreekt. Als je bij dit restaurant wil gaan zitten moet je €1,50 service kosten betalen per Persoon.

Wij werden welkom geheten door een heel vriendelijk gezelschap aan personeel. Wij hoefden hier nog niet onze ‘green pass’ te laten zien. Wij werden bij de ingang beneden begeleid door het gehele restaurant naar de zitplaatsen op het terras boven. Hier mochten wij plaats gaan nemen.

Dan het eten. In 1 woord, FANTASTISCH! Als voorafje kregen wij een blokje geitenkaas met daarop een crème van Citroen. Erg smaakvol. Vervolgens had mijn vriendin de pizza met rucola en ham en ik de pizza marinara besteld. Beide pizza’s waren voorzien van erg frisse en verse producten en dat merkte je terug in de kwaliteit van de pizza. De kwaliteit van het deeg, de saus, het vlees en de groenten was erg goed. Deze pizza’s zijn een echte rader. Bij mijn eten had ik een fles water en twee cola zero’s besteld. Mijn vriendin had de droge witte wijn van het huis en deze smaakte erg goed. Het was een zachte wijn en deze viel goed weg te drinken (anders dan de Nederlandse wijnen). Als dessert hadden wij de lava cake met een bolletje vanille-ijs. Erg smaakvol, lekker en vullend.

Wij waren met twee personen inclusief fooi €37,50 kwijt. Dit is qua prijs-kwaliteit verhouding heel erg goed. Wij adviseren zeker om hier naartoe te gaan en wij gaan zelf ook zeker nog een keer...

Very very kind man and woman. I came this restaurant at night alone. They welcomed me. Asian and traveler. I ate shrimp pasta, and very delicious pizzeria. Tha man fired a wood for one pizza. He is very kind and good. And the woman is very wise and kind. I felt a happiness. I want to remember this restaurant and Signa. They are pure and know what is the happiness.
