Spiaggia dell'Elefante — Attraction in undefined

Amazing beach almost deserted even during August. Definitely must go. Water is clear (even if this is not the best you can get around Sardinia), scenery is amazing and most importantly very few people manage to get there so you can have some space for yourself instead of sitting on top of each other like in the other beaches around.

Getting there is not too straightforward though: either via sea (easier, with rental kayak or swimming) or via the rocks (harder, requires some fitness...

I don't know if it is nice as it was impossible to get there. To the beach leads only privat road. Otherwise you need to either swim or climb the rocks, wich is not easy, as it flat and slippery and at some point there is barbed wire. as much as I wanted to get there I wasn't able, as I didn't want to leave all my stuff and swim there. It's a pitty as people who were enough sporty and brave said it's pretty amazing. well, before get there consider if you want to...

Il mare esplode di bellezza davanti a una vegetazione che cresce fitta e rigogliosa. E poi la roccia che emerge dall’acqua e si allunga verso il bagnasciuga: un capolavoro della natura che nelle sue forme ricorda un cucciolo di elefante. È proprio per questo motivo che la magnifica caletta a pochi passi dall’Hotel Cala di Volpe e da La Celvia è stata ribattezzata Spiaggia dell’Elefante. Un angolo di paradiso che nel 1976 affascinò l’attore Roger Moore che, durante le riprese in Costa Smeralda del film La spia che mi amava della celebre saga di 007, vestiva i panni del mitico James Bond.

L’incontaminata e selvaggia Spiaggia dell’Elefante è molto amata dai frequentatori della Costa Smeralda anche per i colori del suo mare, con tutte le sfumature del blu e del celeste, e per il candore della sua sabbia. Tutto attorno dominano il verde scuro della macchia mediterranea e le basse e morbide scogliere che si tuffano nell’acqua.
