Well, it is surely 5 stars form me who live in Firenze. Just around 1 hour drive or train. Clear white or light grey sands. Water arguably quite clean. Nice and relatively affordable bagno. Surrounded by a various restaurants with great taste foods, from pizza to mixed fried platter. The lungo mare is super beautiful with many people nice crowd even at night. Most importantly we feel safe.

A beautiful beach especially in the sunset. We had huge waves which was cool and we saw that the beach patrol is active and cares about people. There is a toilet nearby that costs 50 cents.

Schöner Sandstrand, der hauptsächlich von Italienern besucht wird. Am Wochenende ist es sehr voll. Es ist auf alle Fälle sinnvoll eine Beschattung (in Form eines Sonnenschirms oder Sonnensegels) mitzunehmen. Das Wasser ist schön warm und es geht flach ins Meer. Hunde dürfen auch an den Strand. Leider sind die Mülltonnen am Strand zu klein. Auch das Parken erfordert Glück oder Geld. Es gibt wenige kostenlose Parkplätze an der Straße.

The beach itself is fine, what is very sad is that only free beach is located so far from the city center. In Greece and Croatia the sea belongs to everyone, you can put down your towel anywhere. Here you are almost obliged to rent sunbeds if you want to be on the beach close to your accomodation. Unsure if we will return to Italy for a...

The beach itself is lovely but do not visit this town. The people here are not nice and Viareggio feels fake, like you are in an amusement park. The nearby regional park is stunning but the poor connection of trails makes it...
